Robert Bloemkolk One of my favorite Mississippi compilations. It's name your price. Pick it up. Favorite track: Careless Love.
    Liv thumbnail
Liv Discovered this compilation on vinyl at a lil cottage by the sea where we stayed in Seaview, Washington. It followed us to New Orleans, and has become "our album". I suggest you try dancing to it with someone you at least sort of like. Surreal. Favorite track: Death Is Only A Dream.
    chiefeagle02 thumbnail
chiefeagle02 I think of this as a spiritual successor to I Don't Feel At Home In This World, also by Little Axe Records. It's interesting to listen to the roots of music. Favorite track: Last Kind Words.

    Pat-from-ID thumbnail
Pat-from-ID Every piece has a cat purring (periodically) in the background. Most of the cuts on this album are pretty relaxing. Favorite track: Nova Cat Purring Sounds / Sam Rosenthal - the Next Day.

FDJ (Desert Psychlist) A stunning blend of rip your face to shreds doominosity and psych drenched ethereality. Favorite track: Beware the Bog Witch.
    Cimicifuga thumbnail
Cimicifuga Best doom metal this side of Sleep. Slamming riffage, great songcraft, and powerful vocals soaring over it all in the bluesy darkness. Favorite track: Dreamwalker's Lament.

acaDamien This album is dark, feels like a kind of black mass. It is amazing and feels like the walls are pushing in from all sides. Incredible musicianship throughout and interludes that just tighten that tension. Favorite track: Diabolus sit in corde tuo, et in labiis tuis, ut digne et competenter annunties evangelium suum.
    rvss.eel thumbnail
rvss.eel It's easy to overlook the name of a black metal band that I've never seen before, but I'm fortunate to have noticed Cernunnus's involvement, resulting in immediate attention. Diabolus, Mecum Semperterne!, will go down as one of the best black metal releases of this year, I have no doubt. All elements are BM purity, so that it becomes the air you breathe while listening. Perfect murkiness, amidst flawless keys, vocals, and eventually guitar riffs create music not new, but old and spectacular. Favorite track: Diabolus sit in corde tuo, et in labiis tuis, ut digne et competenter annunties evangelium suum.
    YomaBarr thumbnail
YomaBarr Damn you, Terratur! Two must haves on one morning!

Dark, ritualistic, but weirdly easy to listen to. The first step into the initiation.
    Let the temple open!

Louis-Philippe Hébert Dont we all need some of this to make our journeys full? Edan will regulate you as cereal. Fat milk, bran, oats, dried fruit into grooves. You taste, you smile. Let him input style, you earned it too. He's part of the TerribleTwo, produces beat, raps, and cuts. No need to boxe to know this is the uppercut.-=F R E S H=- Favorite track: Emcees Smoke Crack.

grysom It's just… I enjoy the record so much! Every time I listen to it. Favorite track: Rapperfection.
