  1. House of God
    by King Diamond

cat_sabbath This might be my second favourite KD album (Conspiracy is pretty hard to beat) but I think it can honestly go toe to toe with the rest of the King’s discography, if only for the fact that it has a special place in my heart. Favorite track: House of God.

atreyu4ws I lost my mother suddenly a few years ago. This song evokes that deep, searing pain of loss, while also reminding me that I still have all those good memories of her. The wound of loss never fully heals. Songs like this are how we cope with the pain. Favorite track: wandering heart (but just acoustic stuff basically).

gayforthesun I'll literally never forget the first time I heard this song. My friend and I listened on the day the album dropped and had no idea the song was about Albert Fish so we thought, "holy shit, did this guy lose a kid??" Amigo's storytelling ability is insane. Favorite track: Drop For Every Hour.
    A Lost Gremlin thumbnail
A Lost Gremlin A charming, murderous dance through the macabre. Favorite track: Murder at the Bingo Hall.
    riastrad thumbnail
riastrad Folk melodies tinged with the macabre. What's not to love? Favorite track: 24K Casket.

Guillaume Quintard I need a 10-hour version of this. Scratch that, make it a 10-year version.

Bobo I don't usually buy singles
    Allu13 thumbnail
Allu13 If the "chorus" parts had twice the length after the first one (1:53 and 2:38, with the latter half of those having changes in bass like at 1:40), I think it'd be perfect for me. As it is now, it's fine, but I'd say it could've had that little bit more.

    dogma_jo It's catchy, it's aggressive, it's getting played over & over again!

turtlesmithy Dance with the Dead has been my favorite band since finding them in 2020. I don't know how they keep doing it, but they haven't released a single bad track ever. and this Album may just be their greatest yet! Truly a feast for the ears.
    jaiminsynth1978 thumbnail
jaiminsynth1978 Amazed to be able to say this, but Malombra is my favorite album by DWD until now. Absolutely incredible from beginning to end, they play to their strengths, combining heavy guitars, beautiful synth melodies, and a very cohesive sound and theme across all tracks. Very glad it's all instrumental, as vocals for me are a hit or miss, and they often hide the synth melodies, which are the reason to listen to DWD. My expectations were high, and they were exceeded. Masterpiece. Favorite track: The Burial.
    Temu Reeves thumbnail
Temu Reeves Welcome back! And nice work. WHEN ARE YOU COMING BACK TO LONDON?! Favorite track: Psycho Disco.
