  1. Confession
    by Carla dal Forno
    supported by
    Martel Meyers thumbnail
Martel Meyers My first exposure to this artist, was this album. The distinct bass lines brought me in, and I’m here to stay.
    Harrison Phinney thumbnail
Harrison Phinney everything we love about Carla’s music is here, yet this record has a strong identity within her oeuvre. slightly more sunshine in the mix, more light-heartedness. the playful jaunt of “Tip Top” is particularly memorable. Carla’s music (imho) has always had a lot of post-punk and dub in its dna—this record leans a lot more in the dub direction. Favorite track: Under the Covers.

    by Dave King
    supported by
    Jonathan Pryor thumbnail
Jonathan Pryor I can't describe how this album has grown on me. I originally got the cd with others and it sat neglected for nearly a month. My first true dive in was on our first "unseasonably warm" evening in early March. I'm in love with it! Favorite track: Lonely Woman.
    lazerbea.ms thumbnail
lazerbea.ms Where delecate brushwork meets toneful cymbal scrapes. A zany peacetime argot from our friendly thundercat, wherein two others who also approach the classics like they were heavenly bodies find between the space of light a spectrum most internal. A crackling fire on a cold night. Balance in the distance. Favorite track: People Will Say We're In Love.

iannnnnn So hard to pick a favorite track because it all flows together so beautifully. Lovely stuff. Favorite track: Morgendvale.
    SlithyToves thumbnail
SlithyToves In his review Joe Borreson nailed it when he noted that this music is somehow bigger than the sum of its parts… and the parts are good too. As I float through the bright, dreamy realm of the keyboard, I am captured and grounded by the texture of each drumbeat, a relaxed vigilance to detail sets in… I like music that teaches me how to listen
    Joe Borreson thumbnail
Joe Borreson Hypnotic jazzy loops of warm sound, that gently pull you into their joyous bounds and set you to dreaming, or nodding your head along depending on the song structure. Really unique Nordic vibes here and these pieces manage to excel at the sum of their parts far beyond just 'jazzy drums and keys' in every possible way. Favorite track: Over Tage.

wrenburrow Just an absolutely beautiful record, thrumming with energy, somehow serene and buzzing at the same time. Perfect to have on in the background while doing anything at all, but especially something creative. Favorite track: St. Pancras.

John Madsen I'm incredibly excited that another timbre is now on bandcamp! And this is a great new release - it will be a thrill to compare all these performances to John Tilbury's.

Now I need to go fill in all my holes in the back catalog...
