Harrison Phinney everything we love about Carla’s music is here, yet this record has a strong identity within her oeuvre. slightly more sunshine in the mix, more light-heartedness. the playful jaunt of “Tip Top” is particularly memorable. Joe Borreson Hypnotic jazzy loops of warm sound, that gently pull you into their joyous bounds and set you to dreaming, or nodding your head along depending on the song structure.
