  2. Marius EP

Edward Batu gives a masterclass in bass music on the Marius EP. The title track "Marius" contorts and moves in different directions in a matter of minutes. Selected by Resident Advisor as one of 2017's top tracks, the magazine writes that "Batu has a sculptor's sense for detail." This high level of production extends to "Off Court" and then to the bass heavy "Nosema." Batu finishes the EP on a lighter note with "Don't" - one of my favorite tracks of 2017. A fitting ending to Batu's masterclass in bass.

won'tclay_ Such a good introduction to Yoshimura, as it has been for me. Definitely one of my favourite ambient projects of all time, and one will I keep coming back to, both as a source of inspiration and relaxation.

    lew thumbnail
lew i heard this in my foundation year at art uni and didn’t think much of it, it was just on in the background during a studio session. a few years later i was really getting into ambient, and it came up on my youtube like an old friend. i’m so glad it found me again at the right time, i love it so much. Favorite track: GREEN.
