It feels like the album has got my taste down to a T. I can really only describe Earl Grey as somehow reigning in absolute chaos with control and confidence—kind of like dgoHn/Macc but with more traditional jungle influence. At the very least, this man's putting out incredible stuff... he's got an ear, talent, and then some more. Bravo!

Nic TVG This release features material from Pinecone Moonshine established in 2008 for a style of drum and bass called drumfunk. The label continues on today featuring many artists and unique sounds.

saimonix Imagine doorbell wakes you on Sunday. It's David Lynch holding big ass jobbie with million tubes and antenna, it steams and whistles, spits out a toast with marmalade every 10s, and is wrapped with pink ribbon. He pushes it into your hands and says: "DEAN MORIARTY TOLD ME TO GIVE THIS TO YOU, SAY HI TO HIM WHEN YOU MAKE THE CALL, SEE YOU IN 25 YEARS". Before you are able to pick your jaw from the floor, he's gone.

I have a story similar to that of M. Grosvenor below. On the 15th of February, I stared into the rainy & overcast distance while listening to this album under an umbrella for ~20 minutes straight. And I came out of it crying tears of joy, having had the intense beauty and indescribable complexity of life revealed to me. Other factors were likely at play, but this album did at least 70% of the work.

I enjoy Squarepusher when he's got his jazz-fusion hat on, and any track pre-FMWT can be expected to be quite the sight to behold. This album does not disappoint whatsoever in this regard! :)
As for my favorite track, Track 8 (a.k.a the eponymous track in the Conumber e:p) is a very entertaining mishmash of jazz-fusion, electronic sampling, and unbridled Jenkinson craziness. Cette question résume bien l'existence de Burningn'n Tree de Squarepusher. Après un Hard Normal Daddy contrasté, Tom Jenkinson se lâche. Véritable puzzle (ne serait-ce que par les titres qui ne donnent aucun point d'accroche), délirant de drum'n'bass expérimental, Burningn'n Tree s'illustre par sa basse jazzy ("11") mais encore plus par ses festivals de percussions ("4", "6").
