  1. Kinetic
    by Black Flower
    supported by
    gorancabrajic thumbnail
gorancabrajic Black Flower has crafted something truly unique—an album that combines intellectual depth with emotional resonance. Kinetic is a stunning celebration of cultural diversity, a journey through sound that’s both thought-provoking and deeply immersive.
    sumbuk thumbnail
sumbuk These guys never fail to impress, or delight the ear. Their sound is a unique blend of jazz, rock, and....and....otherness! :-)
    rvss.eel thumbnail
rvss.eel More of the great, signature Black Flower sound. Kinetic opens big with a nine-minute track, starting strong but then really leveling up when the rhythm section takes lead a few minutes in. The second song boasts vocals and as chill as it is, it takes the energy even higher. It's almost too strong of a start for the rest of the album to follow, but even though it mellows a bit, it's full of great songs and vibes. This'll be a top played album for me this year - no surprise - as was their last. Favorite track: Kinetic.
    13antlers thumbnail
13antlers lovely listening party last night! just realized that nathan daems and shabaka hutchings are brothers in a new vanguard, taking flute to the next level.

    supported by
    Luke thumbnail
Luke Despite being a fan of Kaatayra and Brîi, I somehow managed to miss this project. You'll find many of the sounds you like from those projects and an extra bite added by vocalist, Bruno Ribeiro. If you don't love the last track I don't what to say to you. Favorite track: Viração.
    Wheels of Mercury thumbnail
Wheels of Mercury Another forward-thinking release from a project of Caio Lemos. The dude's a genius; there is no other way of putting it.
    𝖔𝖌𝖔𝖘𝖙 thumbnail
𝖔𝖌𝖔𝖘𝖙 Rock, black metal, 90's post-hardcore; I wish I was inside the minds of Bruno and Caio to unveil why they keep creating such MAJESTIC albums. The poetry and the sound is definitely an overwhelming experience.

  4. Camaradagem Póstuma
    by Bríi
    supported by
    sleepyheadphone thumbnail
sleepyheadphone I think this is Bríi's best mix of (acoustic) metal and electronic elements yet! really cohesive, wonderfully sequenced, and the thematic focus on spirits is such an interesting conceptual tie-in with the trance elements, musically and literally Favorite track: Enlutados.
    chahula thumbnail
chahula Like fuzzy music from a really intense dream. Ya, ya! Fuzzy Intense Dream Music! Favorite track: Aparecidos.
    ahmeteminerdogan thumbnail

  5. Toda História pela Frente
    by Kaatayra
    supported by
    slaepwerigne thumbnail
slaepwerigne showing that caio can do straight-down-the-line black metal just as well as he can do his own unique brand of music. Favorite track: O Castigo Vem a Cavalo.
    frozentanukii thumbnail
frozentanukii Kaatayra continues to consistently make some of the best atmospheric black metal albums of all time. Favorite track: Toda Mágoa do Mundo.
    Urso X thumbnail
Urso X I never wrote a comment for this masterpiece until now because I never felt I could even remotely do it justice. And I still can’t; História simply must be experienced to be understood. Much harder hitting than its lovely world/folk-weighted predecessor, this record marks a quantitative and qualitative high point in Caio Lemos’s black metal excursions. A truly singular release. 10/10. Favorite track: O Castigo Vem a Cavalo.

    t0cktock thumbnail
t0cktock The videos slowly trickled into my YouTube algorithms somehow. Then one night, I fell asleep watching something else on YouTube and woke up to their KEXP performance of "American Porn". It's been stuck in my head ever since. Die Spitz lives somewhere in the intersection of grunge, punk and metal; filthy and heavy. Favorite track: American Porn.

sabbglitz Oh, SHIT! This is really good! When bands this established come back with new work after after a long period, the result is usually underwhelming. Not so for The Charmer. I am now much more excited for the upcoming shows. Can't wait to see you - thank you guys.

martinsdialaview This album is the soundtrack for the world in late 2025. A glorious, angry, visceral, cathartic scream - even the guitars they used were perfect for this statement. The world is indeed on fire.
