𝕍 𝕚 𝕣 𝕘 𝕠 ♕ 𝕍 𝕒 𝕟 𝕕 𝕒 𝕝 This label & Levitation fest are really what still make Austin the music capitol of the world. Austin City Limits definitely isn't doing it haha These 60 tracks are like VIP tickets for those that have no idea what's going on. After seeing Thee Oh Sees live at UMS in Denver, twice at the Gothic Theatre, & once at the Chapel in SF it's pretty apparent it's my favorite live band. I'll never forget the very first time I heard them in Breaking Bad though:

axel schmitzberger Dr Who? The Girl Who Knew Too Much? The Dunwich Horror? This imagined soundtrack slashes through the genres with gusto and delight, leaving no witnesses behind. A shamanic phoenix is reborn dressed in tuxedo and cape evoking the swashbuckling elegance of Adam Adamant and the succubus horror of Ken Russell’s Gothic. It is a fantastic journey of aural bliss thanks in part to the skillfulness of Garden Gate’s members masterminded by hauntological wizard Roan Parrish.
    Simon Rinaldi thumbnail
Simon Rinaldi Canyon of Blood is not just an album — it’s a ritual. A fever dream etched in bone and shadow, it straddles the space between haunted memory and defiant awakening. With the soul of dungeon synth, the pulse of dark wave, and the ambiance of a horror movie soundtrack long buried in a cursed VHS tape, this album paints a hallucinatory soundscape steeped in dread, beauty, and transformation.

    Favorite track: Hold Your Horses.
    diskobob thumbnail
diskobob Canyon Of Blood is one of the best offerings from Library of the Occult—an unforgettable journey into sonic darkness. From the opening by Jamie Flanagan, I was completely hooked. Every element of this production is astounding: the sound design, the pacing, the atmosphere—it’s all meticulously crafted.

Each track seamlessly flows into the next, telling an eerie and captivating story that pulls you deep into its world. The immersion is so complete, it feels like you’re living inside the mus Favorite track: High Noon (Diegetic Version).

Sycamore Tree This is the best album Shawn Lee has ever made. Not only will this be the album of all time for generations to come, I also sympathize with your unfortunate chili pepper accident, I hope your pp is doing better now. Favorite track: Should Have Washed My Hands.
