  1. Hope Is Heavy
    by Acid Magus
    supported by
    Sælzer Bub thumbnail
Sælzer Bub Another masterpiece of South African doom rockers Acid Magus. Those riffs and melodies are awesome. I don't know why but Trillion Tonne Sun gives me some Type O Negative vibes.
    Well done, Gentlemen!
And again, a beautiful Cover-Artwork. Favorite track: Trillion Tonne Sun.
    mobesneedmusic thumbnail
mobesneedmusic Just some very quality stoner rock/metal. Excellent riffs, guitar tone, vocals, production, and great hooks. My biggest complaint about a lot of this kind of music is a lot of bands forget to include hooks. Acid Magus didn't.
    FDJ (Desert Psychlist) thumbnail
FDJ (Desert Psychlist) Riffs and melody combined with strong song writing and killer arrangements makes this a must have in anyone's book.

    urungus thumbnail
urungus The fuzz is strong with this one. Love the changes in Witch Lung. Favorite track: Stoned Age.
    MMJBE thumbnail
MMJBE There are much releases of this kind. Fortunally! But this one is special. I hear the first slow (!) cords and it has a grip on me. Witch band of this kind dares to start with an slow (!) song. GWQ dares! And the planet caravan (You got it?) begins. Then you hear the wind blowing through the desert. Hot winds with a smooth but powerful voice. Believe me, you will never press the "Stop"-Button as long as this musical journey continues...

axeaes This album is so extremely relaxing to me for one reason or another. I come to it often not just for the artistry, but also for that. Keeps me at peace on the train. Favorite track: Empyrean.
    bmurator thumbnail
bmurator Portuguese Prog / Desert / Stoner Rock. As Fuzzy already stated - this is both heavy & yet smooth... :) Plus it's an instrumental (mostly) which in my book can *never* be wrong! Certain tracks are so beautifully subtle & fun & playful (I am thinking Oblivion & Empyrean in particular). Thanks Fuzzy & Orangotango - very much appreciated! Recommended! Favorite track: Empyrean.

Absolute Zero The only other thing that hit me with similar bombastic, bat-shit intensity recently was the latest release from Demon Bitch, particularly with the gang shouts. This is the right kind of weird metal.
    dcdirkzwager thumbnail
dcdirkzwager When I put this on and the vocals kicked in I started laughing. Well, I cackled would be more accurate. It was a cackle of joy though. I am guessing this is an acquired taste, but if you like metal, these vocals should be appreciated if you ask me.
