    FDJ (Desert Psychlist) thumbnail
FDJ (Desert Psychlist) Chugging heavy stoner/sludge metal flecked with proggish elements and decorated with bear-like vocals.
Feral by name Feral by nature, Favorite track: Drowning.
    JoopKonraad thumbnail
JoopKonraad Looking for some feral metal? Look no further! Scavenger MT, brings you all that brutish and burling metal, stoner, sludge, drifting towards classic, heavy or prog sometimes, but always with this wild and savage energy! Indeed Feral!

fartykannon Gosh, Bloodletter is so cool. Favorite track: On Blackened Wings.
    Bart thumbnail
Bart Fun mix of stompy trash metal with melodic death metal (think Anthrax with At the Gates). I've played this album a bunch and it's not even getting close to wearing thin. Favorite track: A World Unmade.
    Shiela Dixon thumbnail
Shiela Dixon This is old-school thrash, just as it should be. One of the top albums of '25 for me. Thanks guys!! All hail Bloodletter. Favorite track: The Burial.

    by The Black Dahlia Murder

    helelrussu thumbnail
helelrussu Man, I love this album through and through.
Although, I do have favourites. Cursed Creator, it kicks ass musically and it’s Frankenstein - I love it. Then Transcosmic Blurprint (not ltd to), the solos are original - unique, whichever you prefer.
Vocally, Brian’s done a wonderful job. The lyrics, stanzas, and delivery. The man’s got a fucking evil snarl. Unique in his own right, surely.

  5. Times of Obscene Evil and Wild Daring
    by Smoulder
    supported by
    NatGibbons thumbnail
NatGibbons So much power on this album, it's exactly what hte cover says it is. Fills your head with imagery, it's like you're holding the flaming sword in your own hand!

Vocals are spot on! Favorite track: The Sword Woman.
    dudleybam thumbnail
dudleybam Apparently, C.L.Moore's Jirel of Joiry is one of this band's inspirations, and it sounds like it. And they have Michael Moorcock doing a bit of narration on another one of their albums. Enough for me - I bought the lot
    Francis AR thumbnail
Francis AR On my humble opinion Smoulder is definitely a banner of the real sound of Epic Heavy Metal Favorite track: Ilian of Garathorm.

_oyasumi_ A solid album with plenty of re-playability down the road. Well worth the change. Rest well Tomas, thankyou sir.
    thekurtaction thumbnail
thekurtaction This is an excellent album anyway but knowing the circumstances it was recorded under adds another layer of meaning. Some of the lyrics are haunting. Favorite track: The Dissonant Void.
    Christopher Martin thumbnail
Christopher Martin I rarely ever listen to Metal music anymore, but seeing a new At The Gates release and also being the final work of the late Tomas Lindberg I of course had to give it a listen. Arguably, in my opinion, their best album ever, and I never thought they would be able to outdo Slaughter of the Soul. RIP Tompa † Favorite track: Tomb Of Heaven.

Kris Faust Immolation is synonymous with consistency, technical prowess, ferocity, and monumental songwriting. Descent is no exception. Real contender for album of the year.
    eManRenaissanc thumbnail
eManRenaissanc My favorite band, still thriving 40 years in. There's no one else like 'em. Just ordered the vinyl and had to buy the BC version too, of course.
    KenshirO thumbnail
KenshirO Crushingly heavy, oppressive and filled with a dark epic sound that many death metal bands could never hope to achieve. Tops even Acts Of God. Fantastic production and some of their best work ever. I recommend listening to it with a pair of Heavys 🎧 on. It will make your testicles explode Favorite track: Attrition.
