trixipixel I stumbled across Eviscerate completely by accident - never heard anything like it - like having my brain and feet tickled at the same time in four dimensions. I like all the tracks, going to be listening to this a lot X
    timbomcgee thumbnail
timbomcgee Beyond impressive, can't think of anyone else making tunes like this. Favorite track: Weird Drum.
    totaledcamry thumbnail
totaledcamry I don't write reviews often enough, but this is such a monumental achievement of an EP that I couldn't help myself. Resonant Language is the king of bass music, there is simply nothing approaching this mixture of extremely heavy low end, beautiful oblong percussion, and addictive grooves. I will be listening to this on repeat! Favorite track: Replicant.

  5. Refugia Blues
    by Nick Shoulders

    Aaron J. Spooky (he/him) thumbnail
Aaron J. Spooky (he/him) This album is stripped down and simple in arrangement, leaving the clever lyrics and soulful vocals to take center stage. Shoulders is a fantastic artist and this is another great addition to his already outstanding discography. Favorite track: Dixie Be Damned.
    Honest Lost Jon thumbnail
Honest Lost Jon Fantastic vocals, nicely spare production, and the finest whistling I've heard. Feels all of a piece. Summons a world that's wealthy in white oak, persimmon, and poke with bats flying above the gravel bar.

Nick oughtta take credit for the fine songwriting. I believe they are all originals except Diggin' Up Bones with a few edits re: negligee ownership etc. And Hill Folk is close to Cowpoke by Stan Jones.
    standerwenbach thumbnail
standerwenbach All the words to explain how I feel, put in the right order. Just hits. Deux Hurry is also worth mentioning, has caught up with Bored Fightin' fast. Favorite track: Bored Fightin'.

    Viktor Pilkington thumbnail
Viktor Pilkington Finds You Well portrays a certain longing for things past. Tape hiss, old samples from people talking and living their lives. I'm pulled 15 years backward in time, I hear Tycho, Boards of Canada, Legowelt and Body-San. This is a playful, yet elegant set of tunes that really makes me want to call my friends and spend the night drinking beers in a field, looking up at the stars. To really enjoy such moments. Favorite track: Outside In The Light.
