BrickDickRick bassvictim prove to be a group to watch with "basspunk 2", as a blend of witch-house/UK dubstep/industrial/hyperpop is coated in an abrasive punk ethos. Very tongue-in-cheek lyrics with a strong performance, at times full on punkrock-esque, it's very quotable. At a breakneck pace with very little wasted time, this EP has been one of my most listened so far in 2025 and I am stoked to see more from them--and if I see ONE MORE chud crying that "they're ripping off CC's" I am going to lose it. Favorite track: Makes you wonder (Album Version).

    fenn thumbnail
fenn i hate to sound like a stereotype but Alex G’s music really has saved my life. I started listening after hearing “After Ur Gone” when i was 11. now im 20 and the past two years have been very rough, but also the best years of my life. if i genuinely had to pick a favorite album it would be Trick or Rules but i love all his stuff so much. unreleased or released it speaks to me more than any other artist has. Favorite track: Change.

iwillneverbehappyagain What a great album! The music is so mellow and yet bangs literally at the same time. The vocals are so subtle and haunting. What a seriously great lyricist as well.

nluken I could go on and on about this one, and I have to many of my friends. Wonderful songwriting. Interesting textures. The dynamic range really pulls everything together, and the record shows such a great understanding of how to shift smoothly between ideas, both gradually and all at once.

It's all so goddamn pretty. Favorite track: You Are.
    keatsu thumbnail
keatsu I cannot stop listening to this album. On repeat since the release. The production, texture, songwriting - top notch. I love the idea of the drums not being too present, yet so necessary here and there. The same goes for clarinets. I discover new things every time. It's my favorite album ever. I love the direction Jonson is heading towards and can't wait for more. This is noise I want to hear. Favorite track: I Punched Through The Wall.
    Prinzbach thumbnail
Prinzbach The entire album is solid chill with great lyrics. Favorite track: I Punched Through The Wall.
