There’s many things to say about this record’s girlish yet unladylike charms. Devotion’s ramshackle layers are equally threadbare and ornamental. Glassy mysticism in earthy fog is the canvas to explore humanity’s plainspoken intricacies.

A beauty to behold! How they delivered this humble triumph for their 2nd album is anyone’s guess. Favorite track: Turtle Island.

Iain H Picking one track from this album is almost impossible. A definite contender for AOTY. The mix of melody, harmony, string quartet and crushing Doom/Sludge is unlike anything else in the loosely-defined Doomgaze sub-genre. This is a masterpiece. Crossing the Void is epic, rising to full-on guttural Sludge vox before it releases the tension with the melancholic, gentle, string quartet closer, Idel. Favorite track: Crossing the Void.
