cypop A crushing record by the dark mind behind Howls of ebb. This guy knows how to convey brimstone, flames and filth. A steam bath of blackened death metal fury ! Favorite track: Bath of Zheouul.

Lute FP If Uncle Acid were a garage punk band... great stuff.
    MindOverFour thumbnail
MindOverFour Occupies an interesting middle ground between early doom (Pentagram) and early punk (the Stooges). Occasional acid blues freak outs and mournful, nasal vocals give it further 70s flavor. Hard to pick a favorite song, when each one is a head spinning time-warp. Favorite track: Curse of the Corpse.

fyeahmetal Simply incredible. There are probably more obscure influences at play, but this record reminds me of that glorious threshold when Florida death metal started branching out beyond brutality. Morbid Angel comes to mind, as does Individual Thought Patterns-era Death, but Blood Incantation definitely has its own thing going on, namely Lovecraftian cosmic horror. Favorite track: Hovering Lifeless.
    peter schmidt thumbnail
peter schmidt ground breaking death metal this band is setting them selfs in a class that goes beyond just making songs about satan and killing people from the prog riffs too the storys about outer space IT RULES and i can't wait for the new album Favorite track: Obfuscating the Linear Threshold.
