alwayslethargic Absolutely fucking insane Favorite track: Hof I.
    Artemus Pender thumbnail
Artemus Pender This guy is on another level. Its like when I dropped acid at a watain show only without the shit in my pants. seriously awesome fucking bm (black metal) Favorite track: Hof II.
    zwarte_zon thumbnail
zwarte_zon Fierce, raw, freakish, and undeniably Swedish. Once again Wulkanaz has turned out another great album in a long line of excellent heathen black metal projects. But be warned; while Paralys does stick to the classic bm conventions, this is no run-of-the-mill pagan bm album. Despite keeping it extremely simple. Wulkanaz's sound here is ancient and alien, and very unique. Favorite track: Upphören.

    FXLRS thumbnail
FXLRS Everything that made Wulkanaz great before has been turned all the way up! Feral and otherworldly and an instant classic! The ultimate Wulkanaz release. In the realm of BM this is so far beyond, nothing else comes close to this album and won’t until the next Wulkanaz album. Mind blowing.

    Obsidian One thumbnail
Obsidian One Five years after The Dreaming I, this follow-up continues the terrifying and wondrous music of Naas Alcameth's nightmarish shadow realms, creating one of the most innovative and fascinating sounds in extreme metal. "Ephialtes" is absolutely sensational, opening with incredible power, and building to one of the album's highlights starting at 1:31. "Incubatio" is equally cataclysmic, with its dark ambient intro, followed by blistering blast beats, until the apocalyptic shriek at 2:51 — unreal.
    Iraviya thumbnail
Iraviya In its attempt to convey the diabolical horror of this album, my amplifier collapsed into a singularity and began accreting nearby buildings along with their screaming inhabitants. I cannot stop it. It will destroy us all. Anyway, please enjoy this album as you await your doom. (Sorry about that.) Favorite track: Pnigalion.
    zirtonic thumbnail
zirtonic To quote the great Nathan Explosion: this album is "blacker than the blackest black, times infinity." Favorite track: Ephialtes.

    Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) thumbnail
    MARS thumbnail
MARS There is no other band like Nuit Noire. On offer here is more beautifully visceral, atmospheric music that fuses the raw, aggressive energy of black metal and punk with a truly nocturnal spirit. The forest is alive and this is it's essence, distilled for you. Drink up! Favorite track: Have you ever been in the Night.

    200lbgoblin thumbnail
200lbgoblin This album is melancholic and dark, but I can feel the joy with which it was made. Erang has a true love for making art, and it enriches the world Favorite track: Frumenty.
    maddesthatter thumbnail
maddesthatter A remarkable return-to-roots from one of dungeon synth's modern paragons. The sounds are all new, yet in their very bones are constructed of callbacks to everything that made me a fan a decade ago. Dungeon synth is for everyone and it's because of Erang that The Kingdom is Ours. Favorite track: Spoken Bones.

I wish I spoke French but this has been on repeat in my CD player ever since I got it.... really hope to hear more of this band in the future!!! (Thanks for the handwritten note with my purchase!!!) Favorite track: Le départ.
    Nyblas thumbnail
Nyblas Ce premier album de Prieuré confirme que Sans Visage est un grand du black metal français ! Des riffs et des mélodies fantastiques et toujours ce côté punk qui font de ce nouveau méfait du très grand art ! Favorite track: Le départ.
    piripiro thumbnail
piripiro Sans-Visage is on absolute roll. After an excellent Magie, ténèbres, amertumes earlier this year, Le départ is hopefully their first of many full lenght albums. Great atmosphere, intense riffs. Favorite track: L'homélie du crapaud.
    renaissance_ultraviolence thumbnail

Phyl Lobius Interesting and obscure in a good way - especially the unique vocals and the intense atmosphere create a haunting mixture. Damn fine BM! Favorite track: Judasbaum.
    Miguel thumbnail
Miguel Easily one of the best projects in my collection. The track is ominous...the atmosphere is out of this world. Favorite track: Lazarus.
    the unfolding unknown thumbnail
the unfolding unknown In what has been yet another banner year for black metal, Vollmondprozession’s debut arrives to survey the state of current global calamity and proceeds to raze Gaia’s withering corpse to dust. In layman’s terms, Lazarus is a bellowing banshee bliss bonanza extravaganza for the ages. What’s left of it anyway.
