Nikolas Fotakis Oh! My! God(dess)! What an absolutely magnificent work of art! On first listen I select ‘Fish Without a Bicycle’ because (a) I know the slogan (but didn’t know the story, and its Australian background, so this Greek Aussie is grateful for the opportunity to learn something) and it made me smile, and (b) I loved how the melody and harmony created this bittersweet, contemplating undertones. Very well done!

David Ralfe Just had to get a physical copy mailed over to the UK, even though it's costing me a fortune in postage! I discovered this album by chance and it's one of the most beautiful records I've heard in years. My partner and I are having a baby in a few months and I'm getting a stack of beautiful records ready to listen to with my new son/daughter. This will be top of the pile.

    Overgrowth thumbnail
Overgrowth Game of the year, with this track being the strange little bit of levity I wasn't expecting towards the end of it. Heck I'm crying writing this right now remembering it. Favorite track: Sticks and Leaves.

phillipthealien This is one of the few video game soundtracks that I can say is a good listen by itself, but infinitely better when experienced in the game it was created for. The implementation of music in Wanderstop is kind of incredible, and it works so well with the setting and story. Highly recommend giving it a try if you like this music! Favorite track: Wanderstop Part 2.

Alasdair Hosking An excellent and disturbingly coherent album, ta. Yes, Another Way, Sorry Eyes, Torch Song and Werewolf Ending are beautiful but it’s Battery Pack I’m singing to myself. Really looking forward to hearing you again tomorrow at St Lukes and hoping the album’s going to be the core of the gig. Whichever, should be good.

Alistair Vale Everything I love about Pictish Trail - woozy electronic washes over heartfelt lyrics, and that voice..... Favorite track: Torch Song.

Shane King I got turned on to this album by KEXP and am so glad I did. Hannah draws from the 80s music I grew up on without trying to sound retro. It sounds like they are writing music they want to hear. I love that.

Jack Hannah Lew has been living rent-free in my head for the last two weeks... I can't stop listening to this album. Incredible songwriting. Favorite track: Sunday.

    cinnamondestroyer thumbnail
cinnamondestroyer Brown vinyl finally made it to the USA! To describe them in a familiar Aussie setting, let's say it sounds like the 1st LP by THE CHURCH (guitars that chime and crunch, same vocal range as Kilbey), and the couple INXS songs I like a lot (Don't Change, One Thing)(w/ sax!) w/ a touch of DIED PRETTY art rock. Great songwriting, excellent lyrics, the band is tight and the best things about strong 80s bands are present in 26! Melodic playful bass, tom-happy drums, new wavey beats. Fcking killer! Favorite track: Learn to Hate.
    fintang20 thumbnail
fintang20 Bang! The rock gods must have been in a good mood. Station model violence are something else. Phenomenal songs, phenomenal album. Thanks guys. Seriously good music. Favorite track: Learn to Hate.
