AwfullyFawfully 92982 has an industrial quality in its first half that piques my imagination, with mechanical whirrs & varied sfx stirring action in a desolate soundscape. Sounds of choppers, sirens and the like followed by pure ambient loops make it feel like a mournful piece of some dystopia, gradually turning more hollow. Would fit perfectly as the backdrop to a futuristic setting. Favorite track: 92982.2.

lionvalley In part due to the specificity of the dating, the soft surges of thunder, helicopter, distant police siren, and other urban ambient sounds woven into a crumpled and faded chorus present a nondescript day that has a different but equally emotional impact as Basinksi's well-known Disintegration Loops. A ghost of a day that happened... Favorite track: 92982.2.

Crooked Tooth ‘The Disintegration Loops’ is a life altering piece of music for me and I’m grateful to add the vinyl boxset to my collection.

Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) L'artiste a tous les droits tant que son œuvre est le fruit d'un corps libéré de la conscience : telle fut la doctrine du surréalisme, figée en tant qu'art automatique.
William Basinski s'en empare et la renverse avec The Disintegration Loops, un album fleuve où l'artiste disparaît, remplacé par des bandes magnétiques qui répètent des mélodies vaporeuses jusqu'à leur mort.
Le cri de désespoir attendu n'aura pas lieu : abîmées, elles toussent, crachent, vomissent — donc elles luttent. Incroyable. Favorite track: dlp 1.1.
