sheepballoon A bleeding masterpiece. Music from the tar pits and laurel wreaths, that, as it reminds us, are in the brains and bones of us all. Favorite track: Black Lake.

Sarah Spencer This is my perfect 10 album. No notes. I already owned ths on vinyl, but I'm buying it again through Bandcamp to make it easier for me to listen to in my car. This album is in a caliber all of its own. Favorite track: All Thing To All Men.

nooooodles This is the one with Burma Shave, Potter's Field, Jack & Neal, so some of Tom Waits' best early work. IMHO the one where you really see the Beat influences, and where his sound starts getting large and cinematic. If you are a fan, get this one.

sandubogi I can just imagine the barkers singing this song. Favorite track: Step Right Up.
    Shawn the Bemused thumbnail
Shawn the Bemused Step Right Up: What a monstrously terrific song! Imagine every 70's sales pitch run together and twisted into something reminiscent of a cynically humorous hip-hop vocal --along with a vicious swinging bass hook to boot.
Small Change was a formative album for me that led to my ongoing love affair with jazz, blues and the art of songwriting.

Thank you, Tom. Thank you. Favorite track: Step Right Up.
    Oynque thumbnail
Oynque One of my all time favorite albums comes to bandcamp. It's really hard to pick a favorite song, but I'm going with The Piano Has Been Drinking because I think it showcases Waits' considerable talents, especially in wordplay and performance. Favorite track: The Piano Has Been Drinking (Not Me) (An Evening With Pete King).
