  1. Notturno

    Nuclear Girl thumbnail
Nuclear Girl Tremendously unique music from a startlingly consistent artist. There are so many elements of what makes black metal great in here, but all processed through a peerless personality's own vision. Another project like Portent, WIST, A Forest of Stars, and Ashenspire, which shows the UK has plenty of imaginative metalheads if you know where to look. Favorite track: Imbres Effugio.
    Bummer thumbnail
Bummer I love Notturno the way I love swimming in cold water. Surprise, a sharp breath, I'm COLD. I stay, and then I AM THE COLD.

Imbres Effugio does a perfect job of filling 25 minutes with atmosphere, eyebrow-raising weirdness, and absolute bangers. It takes so much to make these long tracks work and they've done it.
    Favorite track: Imbres Effugio.

    FuegoMyEggo This is so good.

They continue to hone their craft, expanding the sound, the space, the idea.

bmurator Palestinian Experimental / Avant-garde Black Metal. Like Urso X, I love the every day sounds included here... :) There is so much potential here & I want more from this project for sure... :) I absolutely love the "Mirror" track! Thanks Kvathory! Recommended! Favorite track: Mirror.
    Urso X thumbnail
Urso X Palestinian experimental metal with a healthy dose of electronic, “recorded in a parking lot inside a car… between bombing and sonic attacks… beside a cat…” To say that I’m impressed with this would be an understatement; it’s honestly my favourite “oddball” record so far this year (after Elk Hunter), and that’s not even factoring in the circumstances under which it was made. An act of creative defiance! Favorite track: Mirror.

Danielgeist Wow! Raw and melodic with some epic moments like others have said. Will be keeping watch on this band for the future
    positronicping thumbnail
positronicping Rakta Tṛtīya Netra's sound is far more expansive and finely crafted than the demo tag might imply, and it's not the big swoops that surprise you but the little ups and downs along the way. I can't not agree with all the other reviewers, this is a raw melodic BM gem. Favorite track: Sunyam.
    Manny thumbnail
Manny Incredible demo. The bleak yet serene intro leading into a harsh noise echo chamber perfectly sets the tone for the raw melodicism that follows it. The synths add to the impact of the climactic moment on track 2 and would love to hear them explore that more. The riffs are expertly composed, and soar triumphantly over the textured wall of sound. Fantastic debut from beginning to end. Favorite track: Ingwaz.
