    alextelemark thumbnail
alextelemark Relaxing and exhilarating music at the same time. It takes me with it to a different place. The 6 pieces complement (and add to) each other while speaking the same language. They induce a happiness in me but not in a lazy Way; give an urge to act in beauty, like in Navajo philosophy. Stimulating.
    Emily Violet thumbnail
Emily Violet Versatile, dynamic, and bursting with colour, Polyhymnia is modern jazz at its most breathtaking and awe-inspiring. Favorite track: Lahan al-Mansour.
    kerryridgley thumbnail
kerryridgley What I find astonishing, and so enjoyable, is how Yazz's composing and playing reminds me of some of my favorite composers/musicians - Molvaer, Mingus, Miles, Ellis, Hassell - throughout the album, sometimes, no less, in one composition. I just marvel at her range and the fabulous diversity of every track. All the musicians are top-notch, the artwork is fantastic, the liner notes exemplary, and the overall production as good as it gets. Favorite track: Deeds Not Words.

    prunroche thumbnail
prunroche Really digging this album. Great structure and the tracks work so well together. Cryptographic Hash is my fave.
    Tom Rimshot thumbnail
Tom Rimshot When Bochum Welt doesn't really bother anymore, and Perala is off in Colundiworld (much as I love that too), clever producers like Sint, NN* & Bovaflux fill the Rephlex gap with much-needed melodic electronics that can easily hold their own place amongst the bedroom classix. Funky and sharp but also soft and introspective in all the right places. This is probably my favorite Bovaflux album, and I released Hermetic Peaks!
    Urban J thumbnail
Urban J Great album, but for me pwyll4 is the very essence of what electronic music can do. It gives me pleasurable cold shivers ... Favorite track: bovaflux - pwyll4.
