  1. As The Pale Sun Fades
    by Harifa
    supported by
    Musickult thumbnail
Musickult Loreia resurrected! I grew into Black Metal with Siebenbürgen, and for people like me, Harifa creates a similar enough atmosphere to continue the descent into darkness. Favorite track: Abandon Faith.
    Terastios4x4 thumbnail
Terastios4x4 The album is so atmospheric and so dark! The vocals are amazing and so solid with the music. Abandon Faith is epic, dark and soooo heavy!!!! Free The Nameless, is soheavy and dark too!!!! Loved that work! Totally recommending it !!!!! Favorite track: Free The Nameless.
    Giz thumbnail
Giz Haunting. It is both bitterly cold and built on embers that burst and crackle to the surface. The melodies and arrangements are rich but its heart and passion is still that raw throated ball of black metal nails within. I love how the sound embraces both these and creates a raw, even harsh sound which dances with such melodies and performance that you heart breaks every moment…

  2. New Radiations
    by Marissa Nadler
    supported by
    brantly thumbnail
brantly It feels like the soundtrack to a Cormac McCarthy novel: ghosts bound to a land that remembers everything and forgives nothing. Desolate, haunted, and quietly devastating. This is Marissa Nadler at her best. After so many records, she’s still capable of something this storm-worn and beautiful. Highly recommended.
    Spaceman Si thumbnail
Spaceman Si Calm, warm, gentle, a comforting wash for the senses that is like being wrapped in cotton wool with a sensual voice lulling you into a happy state of bliss. I don’t think I’ve ever listened to the whole album and remained awake :) Favorite track: You Called Her Camellia.
    iidebaser thumbnail
iidebaser Amazing. Those harmonies are not of this earth. Favorite track: It Hits Harder.

  3. THE PATH OF THE CLOUDS
    by Marissa Nadler
    supported by
    saturn 🪐 thumbnail
saturn 🪐 It's almost impossible to pick a favorite song off this album. The whole thing is so pretty and ethereal, easily my favorite production on any of her albums. Ideal soundtrack for foggy, melancholy winters Favorite track: Turned Into Air.
    nevilleshaze thumbnail
nevilleshaze The ethereal bittersweetness of this album - both in terms of songwriting and soundscape - make this a special treat for those evenings of feeling slightly blue and thus in need of soothing melancholia, peppered with some intrigue. Or for nighttime drives, forlorn walks in the woods et al. Hard to pick a favourite. Favorite track: Lemon Queen.
    Creep Church thumbnail
Creep Church Marissa possesses one of the most arrestingly original artistic voices in American folk music and has been a strong and persistent influence on everything I’ve personally done over the past decade spent immersed in her work. Each release is a revelation, and this one’s no exception. Favorite track: Storm.

Jack music Life Nicely done. Beautiful Was it a Dream song. A sad ambiance all along the way, to choose only when you want it. Do not let Emily take you to the Dead City if you are into something else...
go to meet All the Colors of the Dark > CD "Strangers" A Must ! Favorite track: Dead City Emily.
    Dustfan thumbnail
Dustfan I cannot recall, loving this at all. Was it a dream ... or something sinister? Favorite track: Was It A Dream.

    funkyratchet thumbnail
funkyratchet Cinematic, dark, ethereal. Always had a weird affinity for that GN’R track and the cover here really works. Favorite track: Estranged.
    xora_ thumbnail
xora_ A fight between the brutal and the ethereal Favorite track: For the Sun.
    j-john thumbnail
j-john Ethereal vocals and guitar strums over a dark mood provided perfectly by the rest of the instrumentation. I love the balance between almost-light and completely dark on this album. And more of Nadler’s great lyrics. Love it. For the Sun is a great way to get hooked on the album, but I can’t pick a favorite any more. Favorite track: For the Sun.

polo64 Just a guitar, the voice and the sweet kind personality of our Lady from Boston. Favorite track: I Remember the Touch of Your Hands.
    ArgentireMedia thumbnail
ArgentireMedia If you thought 2016's "Strangers" was as good as it gets, think again. This 30-minute companion to its predecessor will leave you staggering to your player in search of the repeat button. It's that good. Despite its brevity, the album explores a broad range of themes, including strained relationships, human compassion, solitude found and lost, and even suicide. Unwavering in the quality of its songwriting, Bury Your Name is a must for Nadler devotees, as well as new fans. Favorite track: Give Me Your Gun.

thee inmost light I never knew these demos existed until today. Little Hells is a 'top ten' album for me. VERY excited to listen to this!
    Russell Garrett thumbnail
Russell Garrett This is so much better than the original studio version of Little Hells, the demos hang together so much more and it is much more intimate ...
    henrykitten thumbnail
henrykitten lovely surprise to hear an extra non-album track! thank you! Favorite track: Bye Bye Ocean and Sky.
    David Evers thumbnail
David Evers I think the home-made acoustic demo version is even better than the studio album, and that was utterly amazing. Favorite track: Bye Bye Ocean and Sky.
