DeeeKaaay A classic revamped! Awesome track. I personally love both versions. Thanks Al!
Favorite track: Every Day Is Halloween (2010 Evil Version).
    sazzyd thumbnail
sazzyd A lot of covers but they made them their own.. A great album imho - cheers to whatever entity gifted this to me!!!
    Prabhdeep Sethi thumbnail
Prabhdeep Sethi Complete garbage! Al has completely forgotten any innovation. Sounds like a high school thrash cover band. I don't know why I keep wasting money hoping for some semblance of creativity.

    Obstacle of Affliction thumbnail
Obstacle of Affliction The description could have said this was the band's first venture into K-pop, and I still would have pre-ordered. But stating this is Cult of Luna's darkest album, then I am beyond excited to pre-order.
Love every album, and this is looking to be a massive favorite.
    Ippocalyptica thumbnail
Ippocalyptica I love The Ocean. I love Isis just slightly less. I mostly love Neurosis. And yet, despite the numerous and significant similarities, Cult of Luna never quite connected with me (with the exception of Mariner, which is stunning)…until now. The title track of Luna’s forthcoming album is the best thing you’ll hear this year so far in the post-metal / sludge realm, and if the rest matches or exceeds this, then In the Shadow of Your Shadow will be the album that turns me into a fan, finally.
    radex thumbnail
radex Cult of Luna hit hard as always. A band that has maintained an incredible level of quality for years. If this single is any indication, I have no doubt the rest of the album will be just as powerful. There's something almost mystical in the atmosphere they create, balancing heaviness and beauty in a way few bands can.

    Dominic T thumbnail
Dominic T The first two singles display a new gear of heaviness. Looking forward to hearing the rest of this, pushing their sound into darker territory (is that even possible?!!) Favorite track: PEN I S MALL.
    eaglebeagle thumbnail
eaglebeagle Deep Blue is one of the grooviest, catchiest songs in the CP discography. Super excited for this album!!!! Sounds like they are going in new directions, and I am totally here for it.

marcusegi Can't help but have to think of Smashing Pumpkins every now and then when listening to MoM. Must Be the voice mainly. This record is the next step for the band away from the Orange Goblin Name droppings. Remarkable Sound, pretty arrangements and Jethro Tullesque Flute placements keep End All we know intense and fresh even after the tenth spin. I am really happy with this record. Favorite track: Slingshot Around the Sun.
    Crinklechips thumbnail
Crinklechips This album is in the process of getting right under my skin. Its loud and angry but its also thoughtful and progressive. M.O.M. are evolving and it’s exciting to hear.

Morass of Molasses produce awesome, distinctive, sludgy metal of the highest calibre. They have become one of my favourite bands. I can’t rate them higher than that.

Contender for my album of the year. Favorite track: Hellfayre.
    Kirk Gauthier thumbnail
Kirk Gauthier This is such a lovely slab of stoner/doom, and it makes perfect sense that Ripple Music would be behind it. Side A is all bluesy doom ‘n roll, but Side B is full of these beautiful stoner rock numbers. It’s a perfect cross section of what Morass of Molasses is all about (and that flue on “Terra Nova”? Perfection!). Favorite track: Terra Nova.

    Paul Schwarz thumbnail
Paul Schwarz It's really staggering what a tight band, who don't limit themselves when stitching together an LP represemtation of what I'd wager is a #hotnheavy live assault, can achieve in today's "studios". First I've heard of this band: what a find! Thank you Wasted State/BB for waving this under my nose while I soaked in _LTA_'s cover... Favorite track: Woe Betide.
    cptnhouseplant thumbnail
cptnhouseplant Telling tales of self reflection and realization Morass of Molasses says what we all know but don't want to hear. Defiantly a table worth turning! www.youtube.com/watch?v=Po6xPCZQBd0

Crinklechips 1st e.p. by this really promising English band. It just gets better with each successive release.

Curiously they don’t have a bassist. The vocalist uses an octaver on his guitar to produce the low end. It works surprisingly well! Favorite track: Ashtabula.
    muschiosauro thumbnail
muschiosauro A tempestuous and diverse stoner/sludge journey with tons of attitude swirling in a maelstrom of groove and power. Favorite track: Rotten Teeth.
