tim_the_curator Man, Fukui makes a hell of a first impression here. Fingers FLYING across the keys! High energy from all involved, with all the agility and passion of youth at their disposal. The drum solo at the end of Early Summer on Side A by Fukui Yoshinori is ridiculous, and the title track by Ryo is a beautiful, mellow finale. Great introduction to a particular flavor of Japanese jazz, and a great pressing (clearly done with care) by WRWTFWW.

tim_the_curator This is probably the peak of his records. Such a great performance. Passion and joy in every keystroke, and his accompanying musicians are equal to him in every way. aurals This trio isn't just a trio, they are brothers in arms, divine messengers of Jazz; true artists, musicians, and beautiful souls. I cannot stress the interplay and cue-taking they all put into Sonora alone. That song weeps and weaves like a small boat on the open ocean, the waves rocking it, yet cradling it... Be My Love is one of the most romantic songs in JP jazz fwiu, and I will always enjoy his music... Emotional and full of a divine cadence... Favorite track: Sonora.

BananaBrainsYYZ A decent remix album. Don't expect anything particularly spectacular. Personally, I prefer the original versions over any of the remixed versions, but given how much I love B3K, this is a nice addition. It sometimes drags on for a bit longer than necessary and is overall a bit bloated, but I definitely don't dislike it.

"Shanghai" par exemple, voyage encore plus vite, reliant d'un battement d'ailes Orient et Jamaïque quand les remixes de "Blue Morpho" accentuent la dimension liturgique ; les "Ya Love" suppriment la barrière entre les corps.
