JohnnyTruant This is the release that got me into Harsh Symmetry. I have been listening to his back catalog a bit since grabbing this, and it doesn't quite have the magic that coalesces on this one. I think what this has, that prior releases lack, is a sense of... fun! It's still dirge-like of course, but the energy level is higher, the hooks are hookier, and there's just somehow much more pleasure to be found amid the melancholy. Favorite track: Stained Glass.

coffingrover This EP is an absolute banger—no skips at all. I’ve had it on repeat since it dropped, and I love every single track. I’m obsessed with how Julian uses the synthesiser in such a beautiful yet eerie way, and his hypnotic vocals just tie everything together perfectly. It is made to be listened to from start to finish, like a proper journey.

I can totally imagine Harsh Symmetry’s music soundtracking a film with pure '80s retro vibes :) Favorite track: Black Box (Lost).

Catbus this is the Chinese 'Loveless', a perfect summary of a bands vision and philosophy through the lens of shoegaze Favorite track: Soft Wing.

Schwen An absolutely gorgeous album. Ecke's melancholic vocals float perfectly over Britlululu's guitar textures, sometimes blending together almost indistinguishably. You'll lose yourself in the textures and subtle melodies. Beautiful. Favorite track: Soft Wing.
