The Spleen Man this Album Wash away my sorrows and fears, never heard such wonderful Piano Songs since sufjan Stevens Favorite track: November.
    Ryan Schmidt thumbnail
Ryan Schmidt This album inspired me to get my piano chops up. I love contemporary classical music as well as folk music. I hear so much of both of these in this album. It’s such a great portrait of America and our music. Favorite track: Model Trains.

trixipixel I listened to Tragic Magic last night for the first time while sawing and chopping wood by torchlight in our barn for the stove. I like all of the album and no doubt will become attached to favourites over time. What came across was how fresh it sounded, how the harp and voice shimmered together. I doubt if there were many takes, and I really like that. A very beautiful and unique collaboration and will keep an eye out for more, although this maybe a one-off and all the better for it. X
    Dan Piponi thumbnail
Dan Piponi During the course of listening to this album I went from "this is so not me" to "this is fantastic". So I recommend listening to all of it before deciding. I'm glad I did. Favorite track: Melted Moon.
    22eb thumbnail

dake 13 Solid record. You can do minimal, but to do minimal and keep it enthralling, that ain't easy. Bought the flac, came back for the lp... it's that good.

  2. Emotions and Math
    by Margaret Glaspy
    supported by
    Pete Dako thumbnail
Pete Dako Glaspy brilliant words & vocals continue to surprise & delight over & over on repeated listenings …every song, every album & performance better+better

FAVES: 'Black and Blue' 'Parental Guidance' "No Matter Who" 'Somebody to Anybody' 'Love Like This' of course… + check out the slick turnarounds & time tricks on 'Pins and Needles' here to contrast + compare with the explosive drum vocal vibro champ hook of "Hammer & The Nail" on Echo The Diamond… Genius!

Can't wait for the next album Favorite track: Emotions and Math.
    Sanders Ilenstine thumbnail
Sanders Ilenstine I know this is itself a cliche but it feels insincere to attempt to use words to express the emotions this album elicited. I tried to use math to calculate how much joy and love I feel but again I came up short... anyway exquisite

    XT45IS thumbnail

    danielolneyfme thumbnail
danielolneyfme Just listen to Frank’s acoustic guitar work on Kafo Mshiski, the warmth and patience are truly beautiful. My favorite mixing of the harmonies is Nimechakaa where Thecla Clara and Maria Regina mix in the background leaving Frank the foreground creating layers that are every bit as colorful as the cover to this album. Favorite track: Nimechakaa.
    infinityknives666 thumbnail
infinityknives666 I never thought I’d see a re-release from my home country, from MY father’s OBSCURE hometown of Moshi. This is my grandparent music lol Favorite track: Kafo Mshiki.
