DriftH2289 Not your typical female rapper. I love the blend of rap/singing. Frizzy P kills it! Favorite track: Blue.

    PlayItLoud!!! Like finding a dollar in your pocket;
It won't make you rich, but it's always a pleasant surprise.....
I spent it wise on this mighty fine album of six easy going tracks. Favorite track: Razzle.

    Dmitry Nevozhay thumbnail
Dmitry Nevozhay Heavy electronic rock with psychedelic trippy vibe. Very strong release, among the highlights of the year. FFO: latest works by Manes, Lethe, Ulver, DHG, Hail Spirit Noir
    Zarvoc thumbnail
Zarvoc This album, I hope, is a a new genre. A delightful, perverse blend of black metal, Krautrock, and whatever genre the band Air is. Pure bliss Favorite track: Reverse Engineer.
    Obstacle of Affliction thumbnail
Obstacle of Affliction Strap on some good headphones, partake of your favorite substance or not, push play, and allow yourself to be taken on a fantastic journey.
    Hypnotic and sublime!
Hope this is not a one-off and that there will be future releases from this awesome project. Favorite track: Haunted Plasma.
    JDMP thumbnail
JDMP Wow! This is so many good things in one. One example: Ulver, Blood Incantation, Tangerine Dream walk into a bar…

    Sid thumbnail
Sid This is a fantastic release. It has great sound production, great layering of instruments creating melodies and elevating atmosphere.

Musically, it reminds me of Blut Aus Nord, Amalekim, Mgla, Penitence Onirique, and Ruyyn.

Lyrically, it is a great concept. Tales of different people - actual and fictional experiencing loss due to giving in to temptations.

    Highly recommended!

Sir_Mustard This album is going to be on repeat for a long while Favorite track: Inaki.
    Kelvin (Navajo/Diné) thumbnail
Kelvin (Navajo/Diné) The album gets better with every listen so much it lifts you out of the atmosphere.
This album supersedes atmospheric black metal, they take you into the stratosphere. This album is stratospheric black metal. Favorite track: Mayerson.

  5. Sel de Pierre
    by Vous Autres
    supported by
    densepoplar thumbnail
densepoplar This album has stayed on my rotation for years now. I know some people like to hear the garage in their black metal, but I love the quality of production on this. Vous Autres takes the time to lull us into absolutely devastating riffs with amazing guitar tone and drums that hold it all together. Love it. Favorite track: Vesuve.
    Andrew Pitt thumbnail
Andrew Pitt Seriously unbelievable metal. Takes all the heaviness and tone of metalcore & sludge and bleeds it into crushingly brutal black metal. Its sound can only be described as "deadly," Favorite track: Sans Sèves.
    olokroth thumbnail
olokroth A beautiful work of art; album of the year. Favorite track: Onde.
