    FurbishL thumbnail
FurbishL Another banger from Bongtower. This band piqued my interest in the vast world of heavy Russian metal. They’ve gone away from their last two space themed ventures but they continue their tradition of doomy blues riffage. Hard to pick a favorite, but I like how tracks 6, 7 and 8 melt together to put the finishing touch on this story.

    kamilsokyra thumbnail
kamilsokyra A confident album, skillfully crafted, with a gritty sound and a dark grunge vibe. It's a downhill ride through the dunes of stoner desert rock. Favorite track: Lightriders.
    satanicaleve thumbnail
satanicaleve After nine long years, Palm Desert return with a full-length that does not just meet expectations, it crushes them. Rays Of The Gold And Grays is Stoner Rock perfection from front to back: massive riffs, desert-baked grooves, and that warm, sun-scarred atmosphere fans of Kyuss will instantly connect with. Every track lands with purpose, confidence, and fire. If you love Stoner Rock in any form, this record is not just worth buying, it is essential. Favorite track: Son Of A Wind And Dust.

    Sorgsen Skuggan thumbnail
Sorgsen Skuggan Inspiring sound and message put into work, as one could see in their live performances where the theatrics are of core importance to embody the crudeness and sole tragedy of warfare as it becomes veiled by propaganda and romanticism. Unfortunate recommendations here having this present, though. Favorite track: Menschenmühle.
    Abyssius Murkraken thumbnail
Abyssius Murkraken Melodic and catchy as hell! Sad that i passed this up on release, this album kicks so much Arsch. Highly recommended! Favorite track: Lviv zu Lemberg.
    bionic2 thumbnail
bionic2 Epic black metal album in many ways, seeing them live just enhanced the experience of the terror in WW1. The music capsules this hell. Favorite track: Ausblutungsschlacht.

Metallurgical Fire I could listen to Jem sing a grocery list and be completely enthralled. Beautiful voice. Great band too. Talons is heavy, but also full of heart and true power. Intuitive songwriting. Sidewinder is no doubt indebted to fellow New Zealanders BEASTWARS.
