    Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) L'anecdote qui explique l'origine de ce patronyme, Autechre, est bien connue de tous : la première syllabe était intentionnelle — d'où le diminutif "Au" pour désigner le duo britannique — tandis que le reste a été tapé au hasard sur un clavier. Les EPs 1991 - 2002 permettent justement de voir l'évolution du sens de ce préfixe. Au, c'était d'abord le cri — celui du chant hip-hop qui influençait une electro acide. À partir d'Anvil, Au est devenu le symbole de l'or, au sens métallique, industriel.
