  1. The Starwheel
    by Kammarheit
    supported by
    Juraku thumbnail
Juraku An old classic album that I had to have again on digital. Favorite track: The Starwheel (Counter Clockwise).
    Benjamin Murray thumbnail
Benjamin Murray I was first introduced to some of Kammarheit’s work through my adoration of Atrium Carceri’s catalogue; listening to their collaboration album, “Apparatus” (absolutely stellar by the way and sounds even better on cassette). This piqued my interest to check out Kammarheit’s stand alone work, which then led me to this classic. I can see why it’s a classic. Thanks Kammarheit 🙏🖤✨ Favorite track: Hypnagoga.
    F_G thumbnail
F_G What a masterpice. Thank you Pär B. for helping me passing through the dark ruins of modernity every day. Favorite track: Spatium.

    tornfromabyss thumbnail
tornfromabyss An album that sounds as if it was forged within a dying star. Scorching, Soul piercing, and disorienting riffs. The drums are fucking excellent as well 10/10 album for me
    gothic_lemons thumbnail
gothic_lemons so cold... freezes me up from the inside every time. perfect to listen in cold winter nights. Favorite track: Friðþæging blýþungra hjartna.
    thursday00 thumbnail
thursday00 Really cool black metal album , really unique and evil . Sonic wall of music . Great vocals that mesh well with the emotions of black cold hate and firey red rage .

Don’t know what there saying , can’t pronounce the bands name , but it’s the favourite album this year so far . Favorite track: Söngur heiftar.

  3. Ivory Stone
    by Sinmara
    supported by
    David Fischer thumbnail
David Fischer With the two contributions on this split, the already way too good Icelandic black metal scene has grown wildly more dangerous. While I prefer Hof for its sheer brutality and wildfire-like character, Sinmara's offering serves as the more melodic counterpart, preventing this release from becoming the musical equivalent of chlorine trifluoride and burning this world to cinders. This is still heavy and breakneck black metal, so do not expect to get through this without burning or hurting yourself.

bcb723 Sinmara is awe-inspiring here. Wow... just straight into darkness.
    Richard Terry thumbnail
Richard Terry This is a powerful song. The Split EP (with Misþyrming) is extremely good and worth checking out. Despite only two songs total, it’s one of my favorite EP’s. Ivory Stone is another great song from Sinmara

  4. Hof
    by Misþyrming
    supported by
    Deni thumbnail
Deni It's been years, but I would listen to it over and over again. Hof is so aggressive and energetic! I fcking love this song! Hearing it live was an indescribable experience, you can already die after it. Thanks!
    David Fischer thumbnail
David Fischer A Sinmara/Misþyrming split bridging the time until two of Iceland's most excellent black metal bands' sophomore records. It has been beyond debate that this would be the sonic heralding of the end of the world, and especially Misþyrming's half turned out to be exactly that: a pulverising, catastrophically unbridled seven-minute-vortex of rage and disgust. This song contains more energy than most full-length albums, serving as a worthy harbinger of the greatness that was to follow with Algleymi.
    bcb723 thumbnail
bcb723 Jesus christ this split is insane. "Hof" is equal to the genius of the Sinmara's "Ivory Stone" on the flip side. Fucking love this song.

    nightofpan210 Raw,black,cold,a great band.
    sashavonkarl74 thumbnail
sashavonkarl74 First album from Finnish black metal horde from the "Abyss" (HORNA in Finnish means that, or Hell). They really need no intro but I was happy to find this official debut opus in digital format. Highly recommended for all fans of early "Norwegian BM" style!! Can't decide if I like this one of Sudentaival better... Favorite track: Sword of Darkness.
    Cadavre_Sombre (Midgard_OBM) thumbnail
Cadavre_Sombre (Midgard_OBM) Massive hails and big thanks to my sis icy moon for the gift card, that makes me very happy! You rule princess of the night and this album from Horna is of the best from the band and a must have. Old school, cold, freezy, hateful, a really great album. Favorite track: White Aura Buried in Ashes.
    Unhinderedbytalent thumbnail
Unhinderedbytalent That harsh early Norwegian sound to this excellent first full length from these Finnish legends. A snippet of the traditional yet melodic BM sound of Horna in the earliest incarnation. Favorite track: Sormus ja silmä / Outro.
