bmc Been loving this album for a while now and got to see them at the 13th Floor in Austin. Great classic shoegaze sound. Really like the interplay between the guitar and vocals. Favorite track: Dream About My Love.

Joe Madden Really good straight-ahead, heavy shoegaze: guitars aggressive yet reverbed and tremolo-ed into oblivion, expressive vocals, lots of dreamy textures, pounding drums (it's really worth pointing out how good the drums sound on this album; check out See It Now, for example), and well-structured songs. Hard to choose a fave track because it's remarkably solid start to finish, but I'll go with -- Favorite track: Always.

Spaceman Si PBOH take all the elements of "shoegaze", and deconstruct and recombine them into something vital and new, creating something utterly, utterly beautiful and euphoric. Impossible to listen to casually, it demands and deserves your full, closed-eyed, blissfully smiling attention. Favorite track: Blue Is the Morning.

BeagleBay An absolute gorgeous album from start to finish, I think the best from NSRO thus far. Favorite track: The Players Ask For A Blessing On The Psalteries And On Themselves.

Nickie Harte Kelly Wonderful blend of quirky and classical, tossing in some jazz in for fun, this conglomeration never disappoints. Swooping effortlessly from sublime to edgy, and delightful all through. The whimsical vocals of Chantelle Pike are the perfect foil for Craig Fortnam’s more playful pieces. I love the majestic opener and the epic closing track (including poetry by W. B. Yeats), but am choosing All Alice Like to be representative of the entirety Favorite track: All Alice Like.
