    by Fabio Anile

    Giacomo Bruzzo thumbnail
Giacomo Bruzzo Such an elegant, elastic, purposeful, driving album of piano trio and augmented piano trio music (augmented by multiple guitars and electronics), all originating from delicious polirhythms created with the ghanian percussion Thelevi.

Carsten Pieper From Failure to Fracture to ConstruKction of Tight, or so...
You don't have to read the liner notes to notice the strong crimsoid DNA of this album! But reading the liner notes, I can't really put it better (no surprise!) than a certain Mr. Vai:
"an unapologetic, dense, alien melodic, rhythmic brain twisting, sublimely lovely solo record."

And hard to pick a fave... I went for one of the Bach concerto movements as this is a very fresh approach to "classic coverage". Favorite track: Bach - Concerto for Violin and Oboe, Mov 3.
    saxon_now thumbnail
saxon_now This is just awesome instrumental prog madness! Keep on Making Weird Music! Favorite track: Binge.

oskiari1975 Each song is such a joy to listen to, so many threads to explore. Subsequent listens are like a ‘choose your own adventure’. Wonderful. Favorite track: Deathtrap.

  3. Truce Live at Cruise to the Edge 2026
by Markus Reuter (featuring Fabio Trentini and Asaf Sirkis)
    supported by
    Carsten Pieper thumbnail
Carsten Pieper Well, I guess I'll never set foot on a cruise ship, as I really don't like the concept on many levels. But this Cruise to the Edge (what a great name for a prog crusade, btw) could make me think twice ;-)
This is the trio's life set from this year's cruise. Amazing musicians! Favorite track: Crooked (Live at CTTE 2026).

Carsten Pieper As I still haven't managed to see them live, this "free concert" from the recent US tour is a welcome goodie! Thanks a lot! Favorite track: Tentacles.
    gearmanx thumbnail
gearmanx Of course it is impossible to pick your favorite Stick Men LIve track but I'll pick swimming due to the amazing lyrical guitar lick from Markus that makes this track seem majestic!
    Favorite track: Swimming in Tea.

    J. Scottt F. Why do I love this track? I have no fucking idea...I just do. Maybe because it tickles my brain Favorite track: The Well.

Chris Fox My favorite artist after rock, working with Japanese noise artists. This is like finding my office coffee cup on a planet orbiting a distant star.

Jabe Ledoux Tatsuya Yoshida is my hero.
    George Henry thumbnail
George Henry Here we have a collaboration that is greater than the sum of the participating artists and music that is greater than the sum of the individual parts - as such a project should be. This reminds me of other strange experimental music I have liked down through the decades; and that's all I can say without writing an essay such as wouldn't be appropriate here. Favorite track: TVJ 33 (Core Track).
    Dustin Wall thumbnail
Dustin Wall This album always transports me to another place. I'm not sure where, but I'm thankful for the magic these three can create. There's some real chaos and beauty here. Favorite track: TVJ 66 (Non-Sens).
