Chiming.Back Antenna brings the tempestuous energy of bands like Bad Nerves and Ted Leo's Chisel—especially in their standout track, "Antenna State." BAM! Favorite track: Antenna State.

    cinnamondestroyer thumbnail
cinnamondestroyer Brown vinyl finally made it to the USA! To describe them in a familiar Aussie setting, let's say it sounds like the 1st LP by THE CHURCH (guitars that chime and crunch, same vocal range as Kilbey), and the couple INXS songs I like a lot (Don't Change, One Thing)(w/ sax!) w/ a touch of DIED PRETTY art rock. Great songwriting, excellent lyrics, the band is tight and the best things about strong 80s bands are present in 26! Melodic playful bass, tom-happy drums, new wavey beats. Fcking killer! Favorite track: Learn to Hate.

fintang20 Bang! The rock gods must have been in a good mood. Station model violence are something else. Phenomenal songs, phenomenal album. Thanks guys. Seriously good music. Favorite track: Learn to Hate.

    Brent Davis thumbnail
Brent Davis Tactics, an Aussie cult band (of which I know next to nothing)... Based on GET YOUR TONGUE OUT OF MY MOUTH, I'd say the band (howsoever it's constituted in these latter days) has still got plenty to say.

So, if something like an amalgam of Ray Davies, Hugh Cornwell, and (pre-boring) Nick Cave sounds intriguing, give this a listen.

✌️🤘🇿🇦 Favorite track: for sure, fore sure, four sure.

jpowell736 The New Pornographers continue their string of excellent albums. This is understandably a little darker than anything they've put out before but still the ear candy we expect from this band with the vocal harmonies and memorable hooks. Favorite track: The Former Site Of.
    Luxuria Atenash (+ Mementos!) thumbnail
Luxuria Atenash (+ Mementos!) an understandably dark, grief-filled album. i think we all feel a little lost right now. all the good ones, at least- we feel lost while waiting for something, waiting to be saved, maybe while saving others as we wait for our own rescues. i know i feel lost. thank you to TNP for another amazing one, though. it came right when i needed something that could help me cope since i can't express my own grief. Favorite track: Wish You Could See Me I'm Killing It.
