morrcahn This album brings me so much joy and nostalgia. I love the way the story is threaded through the album, through in-character dialogue and lyric. I envision this as a stage musical. This is a masterpiece.

Charles Choc Jr. this is dope AF; I'd buy the shit out of this on vinyl.

glad you made it to adulthood, dude. I'd love to hear you rap about this shit, your experience, etc. The background info is very much appreciated (and conveyed in a lovely fashion).

Im'a annoy the shit out of my wife with this one.

thekurtaction Outstanding album. Continues A Valediction's direction musically. Unusual production but it actually works for this material. Favorite track: A Sonication.
    David Fischer thumbnail
David Fischer An artist's creations should always be measured against the standards they have set themselves. Obscura's standards are high, having released some of the finest technical death metal in history. And in comparison, A Sonication falls short – at least soundwise. The production is washed, muffled, horrible. Musically, I highly enjoy this album, but I cannot help myself but imagine how much better it would sound with the production of e.g. Diluvium, and that is a pity. Great bass, riffs and drums! Favorite track: A Sonication.
    Piper Haqim thumbnail
Piper Haqim Obscura has found the invisible line between melodeath and tech death and are dancing on it with every album now. They’ve decked some of the melody on this album but you can still hear it peek up from time to time. Ultimately this album is on a whole, a logical step since A Valediction. Favorite track: Stardust.
