Carsten Pieper As I still haven't managed to see them live, this "free concert" from the recent US tour is a welcome goodie! Thanks a lot! Favorite track: Tentacles.
    gearmanx thumbnail
gearmanx Of course it is impossible to pick your favorite Stick Men LIve track but I'll pick swimming due to the amazing lyrical guitar lick from Markus that makes this track seem majestic!
    Favorite track: Swimming in Tea.

    J. Scottt F. Why do I love this track? I have no fucking idea...I just do. Maybe because it tickles my brain Favorite track: The Well.

Carsten Pieper From Failure to Fracture to ConstruKction of Tight, or so...
You don't have to read the liner notes to notice the strong crimsoid DNA of this album! But reading the liner notes, I can't really put it better (no surprise!) than a certain Mr. Vai:
"an unapologetic, dense, alien melodic, rhythmic brain twisting, sublimely lovely solo record."

And hard to pick a fave... I went for one of the Bach concerto movements as this is a very fresh approach to "classic coverage". Favorite track: Bach - Concerto for Violin and Oboe, Mov 3.
    saxon_now thumbnail
saxon_now This is just awesome instrumental prog madness! Keep on Making Weird Music! Favorite track: Binge.
    oskiari1975 thumbnail
oskiari1975 Each song is such a joy to listen to, so many threads to explore. Subsequent listens are like a ‘choose your own adventure’. Wonderful. Favorite track: Deathtrap.

Favorite track: Yor Zarad.

    Summer thumbnail
Summer Angine de Poitrine, brings new fun and life into prog rock in both presentation and sound. I think if you like Cassiopeia you'll like them. Alternatively if you're transgender you will probably like them as well. Favorite track: Ababa Hotel.
    sassychicken17 thumbnail
sassychicken17 This album breaks my brain in the best of ways. From the innovative microtonal sounds to the time signature shifts, my mind and body are fully engaged with every track. Bandcamp has the audacity to force me to choose exactly one favorite song, but they are all great tracks! Favorite track: Ababa Hotel.

    onetr thumbnail
onetr A strong showing in minimalist classical in its own right, made even more interesting by the fact that this is Pharaoh Sanders' last appearance in music ever.

Side B kicks off with an incredible tear-jerker sequence, hence I put Mov. #6 as my favorite track! :) Favorite track: Movement 6.
    Ghuughra thumbnail
Ghuughra I know pundits like to throw around terms like 'breathtaking' and 'transcendent' with all the restraint of a toddler with a can of silly string, but d*mn if I can think of a more fitting set of adjectives.

Don't think I've ever heard anything quite like this. Pharaoh is the type of virtuoso that doesn't need to blow you out with tech to leave you speechless. Got me feeling emotions n sh*t. Favorite track: Movement 7.
    luixcampox thumbnail
luixcampox Masterpiece! .. complex and subtle. Something holds everything togheter, stable, but also there is always change and movement.

Can't imagine how precise musicians must have been, and what a state of focus required to perform this whole sound trip.

    Beautifull!
