    Daimera thumbnail
Daimera Lots of bangers here, glad to add it to the others! While it's VERY hard to pick a song, Later On hits very hard in a personal "this is a mood" way... but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't looping Let's Pretend for its beat and mood shifts. Favorite track: Later On.
    SilverFolfy thumbnail
SilverFolfy Having had the pleasure of being able to listen to this fantastic album for about a year now (thanks!), I can safely say it has grown to be one of my favorite albums.
Sure, it's different than the previous strictly-icelandic Arstidir albums (it may be more comparable to Nivalis), but it's no less able in telling interesting stories with it's thoughtful lyrics and beautifully addicting melodies.
Every track is very memorable and stand out on their own. Together they make the *perfect* album. Favorite track: Home Pt. 2.

fynnfreyer At this point I don't even listen to Tuber albums anymore before buying them. They're just THAT consistently good
    pavlov33 thumbnail
pavlov33 The power of progressive music of our time, the one that will last for a long time. Thanks. Favorite track: Joyful Science.

  3. Hyacinth

    pinkytheent thumbnail
pinkytheent A tasty slice of DEE weaving his iconic mysticism! I really like how much his solo stuff carries the core mysterious vibe of DEE, but differentiated from his other bands. Even within Hyacinth, there is wide evolution between songs; some have more of that arcane country vibe, some a more electronic vibe, with hip hop-adjacent drum track beats. All of it spun together to create a tableau of sanctum sanctorum, all together creating an unmistakable vibe: a feat that not all music accomplishes. Favorite track: Seraph.
    Brent Davis thumbnail
Brent Davis DEE is a compelling hombre and his music always expresses his truth. Favorite track: Through The Lattice.
    7erence thumbnail
7erence I have been listening to you since the beginning of "sixteen horsepower", and I am always fascinated by how you reinvent yourself with each new project. Like the phoenix, you rise from your ashes - stronger than ever! And here... what a magnificent rebirth! 🖤

  4. The Jewel (remastered with bonus tracks)
    by Pendragon
    supported by
    theripper85 thumbnail
theripper85 Outstanding 1980s neo prog rock, featuring a masterclass of musicianship. Pendragon in addition to Fish era Marillion, IQ, Pallas, Solstice, Twelfth Night kept the home fires burning regarding the often maligned Progressive Rock genre. I was born in the August of '85, and I envy those who were able to gaze in bewilderment upon Genesis, Yes, VdGG and then the aforementioned neo prog bands I've listed. Incidentally, Mr. Clive Nolan did not feature on The Jewel. Favorite track: The Black Knight.
    vodkaintimate thumbnail
vodkaintimate So many memories of this album. Bought from a little record shop in Dudley in 1985. Went to see Marillion in Aylesbury around Christmas that year and amazed Pendragon were supporting. Makes me feel so old now. Thanks Nick for your amazing work over the years 👍🏻
    futureperfect93 thumbnail
futureperfect93 Albeit in my opinion Pendragon really took off with their 1991 album „The World“ which established a sound that set apart the band as a whole with even better albums to follow (Window, Masquerade), I appreciate this bright sounding debut album with its smooth long tracks (esp. „Leviathan“, „Alaska“) and its shorts (with „Higher Circles“ being a gorgeous start with its optimistic tones). Great sound quality and nice bonus tracks on this edition as well. Favorite track: Alaska.

Ethros Probably the best Pink Floyd inspired track I've ever heard. Favorite track: Passages.
    ReturnTrip thumbnail
ReturnTrip Amazing release by an awesome band. Favorite track: Through The Hourglass.
    Frank Hardlic thumbnail
Frank Hardlic This is awesome. How dare they create this aural flow with abundance of resemblance to mid 70ies music but never sounding pretentious but at the top of the game of our times? Favorite track: Run.

Dan Maharry Another great electronic \ modern classic \ ambient set of Ryan Teague. Favorite track: Tipping Point.
    Mood Exhibit thumbnail
Mood Exhibit Such a gorgeous lush album of robust melodic electronics mixed with some organic instruments. I have followed Ryan Teague ever since his earlier cello work, and this collection displays a masterful blend of analog type sounds and flowing rhythms that are beautifully rendered in melodic and upbeat fashion. It’s like an electronic Post Classical/ New Age music that is ahead if it’s time. Such great sounds and feeling to this. Contender for my album of the year! Favorite track: Sharp Relief.

  2. Chants from Another Place
    by Jonathan Hultén
    featured track 00:00/00:00
    The Mountain The Mountain
    supported by
    Carsten Pieper thumbnail
Carsten Pieper Dark folky songs with a mystical feel. I love the acoustic arrangement/vocal arrangements. Everything done by Jonathan Hultén himself, who has been playing electric guitar in Swedish death metal band Tribulation for 16 years and only recently left them. It will be quite interesting to see, where his future way will lead him! Favorite track: The Mountain.
    Entleiber thumbnail
Entleiber One sweet spell of an album. Deeply enchanting and atmospheric, and all that created by Jonathan's lovely voice and an acoustic guitar, sometimes a piano. Magical interludes. Music to forget about the world and discover a hidden one instead. A phantastic journey. Favorite track: The Roses.
    Nickie Harte Kelly thumbnail
Nickie Harte Kelly Understated acoustic offering from this Swedish artist more known for his forays in the gothic gloom oeuvre. Stunningly haunting and spare, Hultén also is a talented illustrator, as the art nouveau inspired cover art proves. Favourite Track: A Dance in the Road Favorite track: A Dance In The Road.
    berelex thumbnail
berelex A journey through tones and unkown lands. Truly lovely. Favorite track: Where Devils Weep.

    JayEff thumbnail
JayEff My taste in this genre, "ambient darkwave" for want of a better term, is for a slow beat, poetic lyrics, all minor keys, varied orchestration and a deep melancholy. Aythis is the perfect match. Incredibly beautiful work. I'm a great fan of Dark Sanctuary too. Favorite track: Aythis.
