northwesternlights This album is one of the special ones, that you might have to listen to a couple times before it clicks, and you find yourself either sobbing or more determined than youve been in years. TNC is a genius, and it shows here and in MYTH. Cant wait for whats next Favorite track: GOOD MORNING SUNSHINE.
    shabeeve thumbnail
shabeeve i made a painting of this album cover. i initially came to this album because i thought a track named fungus was novel. novel is now the last word id use to describe this album. Each song has an emotional tone i feel it nails. vs the heat death of the universe is a track i may listen to forever, at least i have so far Favorite track: vs The Heat Death Of The Universe!.

roleypokey your music hurts me the narcissist cookbook. but its very amazing. Favorite track: The Good Ship You.
    robin thumbnail
robin Good god this hits something awful. Absolutely haunting and tragic and personal, and then that little snippet of "Will ye go, lassie, go" at the end sneaks in to hurt you. Favorite track: WILL YE GO.

    little guy fr thumbnail
little guy fr :D I love it when an artist can put the worst of ourselves into music. Don't get me wrong--I love a happy track, but there's something about the self examination involved in putting words to the way we treat each other, that i think has the power - dashed in between the angst and confusion - to make us better ourselves and love each other further. Favorite track: Ghost Stories.
    shabeeve thumbnail
shabeeve as much as i could go into what i enjoy about this ep, ill take my 500 characters to say that i first heard the word arabica in this song and because of that, in a job full of coffee people whose job it is to know about coffee i was the only one who was able to actually pronounce it because of this song and i think ill be riding that high for another week or two. also ghost stories was the first song i listened to by this artist now im a lifelong fan Favorite track: Ghost Stories.

    nehas1024 thumbnail
nehas1024 YES!!! I see shows at the Masq regularly and every so often there's one (usually in Purgatory) where the room's sold out, the crowd brings the energy and screams the lyrics out loud, the artist(s) feed off of it and it ends up creating straight up magic for a few hours. that room is special. wasn't familiar before, impulse bought tix, ended up my favorite show of the year too. and now I get to own the recording! I am beyond thrilled to have something to revisit. see y'all back in a few months! Favorite track: A Castle Of Rats (Live In Purgatory).
