ilovetoeat Your vocals and recording is something special about this album especially the writing 💜 Favorite track: Her Sinking Sun.
    tuyanliu thumbnail
tuyanliu you grow up from the nature of thinking of how this, it should be and that's life. so, then everything doesn't always become meant to be. i think this song is very beautiful. Favorite track: Her Sinking Sun.
    Luke Textbook thumbnail
Luke Textbook In high school I was depressed and was being strung along by a girl I was obsessed with. "Caroline, Please Kill Me" resonated deeply. It was a discussion with a friend over the lyrics that pulled me out of my depression. That friend and I are married now! Poetry has power. Favorite track: Caroline, Please Kill Me.

Joe Drives Again Joe Drives Again
    supported by
    Aaron Clow thumbnail
Aaron Clow I think more bands should do this. It may be heresy, but these are my new "default" versions of these killer tracks. Reminds me of good times and bad times... Thanks for bringing us back and moving us forward.
    softiephobia thumbnail
softiephobia I really want to love this album, but I think it has some glaring problems. while looking at the lyrics and delving into the story makes me appreciate it more, I still feel like the story isnt as coherent in the listening experience. this also might be a hot take, but I dont mind the swears for the most part. the only time I really noticed it was in cosmic hero.

at the very least, the new songs are really good and I do think it improved on the original album at times, i do miss the og songs tho Favorite track: Joe Drives Again.
    gooeyPhantasm thumbnail
gooeyPhantasm some of the mixes are better, but i don't think this album speaks to the average teen of denial like the original does. the story is a bit hard to follow, i didn't care for the simpler style of the new songs, and no swears is mind-boggling. nevertheless, it's not like the original is gone and this is still a great signature CSH "look-back".

    Issabell Waite thumbnail
Issabell Waite Saw you at a teeny tiny house show in MI in 2016. Your set was so much fun to watch, I treasure that memory. You're one of my top spotify artists this year, and knowing spotify I realized it's time to buy your album- long time coming. I love your music and have had many dance bop sessions with my friends to this. I hope you'll tour again- I'd hike pretty far to see this again!
    Von Dink thumbnail
Von Dink An unheralded classic - BCD deserves much more love than he's gotten from the music community. Alex G acknowledges Brandon was a big inspiration for him - nuff said. Favorite track: take your pills and carry on.
    Veronica Kowalski thumbnail
Veronica Kowalski tbh my favorite changes every time i listen, revisiting this after some time, and it's just as good as it was when i first heard it; i think home run king is v underrated. Favorite track: take your pills and carry on.
    Cody Graham thumbnail
Cody Graham do yourself a favor & buy this gem. Favorite track: 17.

    dougcarlin thumbnail
dougcarlin Perfect mastery of atmosphere and tone. Really captures the feeling of a long drive where both mind and conversations wander. Favorite track: Exit Does Not Exist.
    daffyrwt thumbnail
daffyrwt This album is a beautifully weird lonely soundscape that keeps you coming back. Like most albums that I'm late to the party for this one eluded me for 10 years after deep diving into MM's major albums and boy do I regret it. Now I want to deep dive into their b-sides. So hard to pick a fave track, anyone of them would suffice, but Dramamine sets the table quite well. Favorite track: Dramamine.
    Yote thumbnail
Yote The genres might be confusing and you might not get this album the first time around, but when you have a long drive or go on a hike, you’ll be happy to have this album with you. Favorite track: Ohio.

brayton what's a curse between friends? Favorite track: Karen Carpenter's Curse Rotted World.
    Von Dink thumbnail
Von Dink Some really good moments here - Cartoons is vintage GBV with a beautiful reprise of 'bridges burning'. I would have loved a more focused final effort - if this could have topped the first two (amazing) goin' nowheres records, it would have rocked my little world. But as a pastiche of leftover tunes it has its charms. It's eclectic, eccentric, and lively. I've enjoyed listening to it.
