   Challenged Landscape i have been in places like this...(buildings never renovated...the carpets are musty, & decorated in garish floral patterns; & if there are no carpets, there are only bare floorboards, made of wood, creaking with every step; the walls are painted&faded with dark yellow greens; the ceilings are either uncomfortably low or uncomfortably high...basements cluttered with urky paintings)...i've been in places like this, but i've never gotten the chance to go back & i don't know if i would if i did. Favorite track: The haunted ballroom.

   OrsonXD I'm not sure if some of these ideas are intentionally done for me to like them, or they do it by incident, but this is quite the varied bunch.
   Some carries over from v/vm, some echoed hallways, some tracks screaming right in your face.

   Sigurður Nansen A great adventure begins here: the EP offers the soundtrack to a forgotten D&D-based flick in your head, bringing up images of darkest corridors and cathedral-like halls underground, traversed by an unwavering band of undaunted dwarves. The title track comes in two versions (ambient and single edit) plus you get a B-side that features the more retro-nostalgic sound Gilgareth is already known for. The EP is rounded off with a tape edit of all three tracks. This is highly recommended! Favorite track: Hinab in die Zwergenbinge (Single Version).

   

   MarsDragoner The centerpiece of the EP is another eclectic and successful effort to fuse a multitude of styles and atmospheres into such a short runtime. Both versions have their very distinct strengths and there is a lot to uncover in both of them .The other song is a fine little companion piece to lighten up the mood a bit between both renditions. Reading the supplementary story about Aventurian heroes, peoples and deeds alongside listening is most certainly advised! Favorite track: Hinab in die Zwergenbinge (Single Version).
