nimesay the aliveness of each composition and rich texture is making me entirely rethink our current reliance on audio editing software for creating deeply affecting electronic music. this + the self-titled are going to stick with me for a long time. Favorite track: II A2.

oblio83 Hip, melancholy, nouveau trance-y jazz, and I’m digging every note, cats. Favorite track: Santa Monica.
    Harrison Phinney thumbnail
Harrison Phinney “Santa Monica” is on a Gaussian Curve tip, and then “Vine” goes spaced out zoner with electric guitar (like Jarmusch if he put out a record on Music from Memory), before mellowing in the last quarter into a Mulholland vapor dream. Top notch surprise, this record. Favorite track: Vine.

uninspired Everytime I hear the first track I have to listen to the next one and then I find myself going all the way through to the end. All the tracks just flow together. I love how some tracks are super chill, and others are really intense. Honestly such a good balance.

Absolutely legendary album, definitely Daniel Avery's best one in my opinion!! Favorite track: Spider.
    Whyte Rushan thumbnail
Whyte Rushan this is so very good, its all about the 4.20 people....highly recommended Favorite track: The Slow Bullet.
    henrythe12 thumbnail
henrythe12 Daniel describes this album as an "intentionally heavy and dense... distorted fever dream of a record", a statement which could not have been more accurate. "Ultra Truth" is an amazing work of art, able to perfectly execute a stellar sound and aesthetic and maintain consistency alongside sonic variety. Amidst the dark, murky waters that "Ultra Truth" finds itself in, there is real beauty within.
