sciz Extraordinarily visceral drumming backed by passages of wonderful, dissonant noise. Industrial music at it's peak. Favorite track: copwatch.

furrybeans Even by my standards, this album is *weird.* I'm still not quite sure what Autechre is doing for most of the songs, but when I do figure out what's going on, I'm struck by a divine bolt of musical nirvana. M4 Lema is hard hitting, incoherent, and one of the prettiest songs I've heard all year, and r cazt has this incredible, undefinable sense of space that I haven't heard anywhere else. I'm still not sure about the other songs, but when I do figure out what's going on, I'll let you know. Favorite track: r cazt.
    Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) thumbnail
Favorite track: Metaz form8.
    Don Armadillo thumbnail
Don Armadillo rarely in the post-chiastic slide era have autechre sound so fresh. sign is the british duo's most accessible offering in ages, while lacking none of the knack for sonic adventures that made autechre favorites among those of us who prefer their music challenging and, at times, unpredictable. Favorite track: psin AM.
