Fuzzy Cracklins (Best Music Newsletter) What a killer debut!! Big energy, heavy riffs, total rocker. 🤘🐊 Favorite track: Hijo maldito.
    StrengthWithin thumbnail
StrengthWithin My friend got bombed to this dissonant stoner rock. He said his biggest frustration was not knowing what the hell they were saying. Favorite track: Hijo maldito.
    paul rote thumbnail
paul rote Did you ever wonder what Crystal Logic era Manilla road would sound like if they were from Bogata , Colombia in stead of Kansas ? Yeah me neither, but here’s the answer .
This is pretty good and pretty radical .

    David Fischer thumbnail
David Fischer It took me forever to finally get to World Maker, and I instantly wish I could travel back in time to listen to this sooner. From the first to the last note, this album is beyond brilliance and would've definitely made my Top 10 list of 2025. It transcends music, emanating an intense presence. Music to erect your inner, spiritual shrine to and bathe in the glory of the goddess of the dawn (whatever that means). The soundtrack of a celestial, golden, glowing sphere illuminating the sky. Grand! Favorite track: All In Time.
    my_shadow thumbnail
my_shadow I am not musically inclined to explain technical things like time signatures, etc. I’m sure there are aspects of this bands talent that I could never do justice, especially in 500 words. All I know is, the album World Maker is amazing! It’s a masterful piece of music that combines mood with power. Restraint with intensity. As soon as I heard “You Are The Sky”, I was immediately hooked! An all-time favorite for me.

Give this record/band a listen. You won’t be disappointed!! Thanks Psychonaut!

    Ippocalyptica thumbnail
Ippocalyptica It has taken me years to appreciate Psychonaut’s approach to progressive metal, which is equal parts post-metal and psychedelic, but now, as I have come to realise, they are a lot more distinct-sounding and coherent than several of their contemporaries. I do see some similarities to The Ocean (which is probably why I finally like Psychonaut), but the music here is less busy, less aggressive, and a bit warmer. World Maker sadly features one bad song, but the rest are total fire! Powerful stuff. Favorite track: You Are The Sky....

Bo As great an introduction to this varied artist as you'll ever find.
Lots of synths, lots of screams. Favorite track: You and I are in a Dark Crypt Forever.
    Dumb mmmn thumbnail
Dumb mmmn ..saw them pop up on YouTube and someone suggested the NFL halftime show in the comments.. I agree but their agent said they turned it down on principle? I don't care.. I'm too lazy to watch football
    Shoigunjinsho thumbnail
Shoigunjinsho For some reason these tracks hit real good when you're alone on a dark and cold night, starring up at the stars... I feel solemn with a tiny bit of melancholy, but also curious of what's really out there... Favorite track: Two Stars in the Sky.

oldngold When I first heard "You and I are in a Dark Crypt Forever," I knew I had to get this album. Favorite track: You and I are in a Dark Crypt Forever.

    Farold Haltermeyer thumbnail
Farold Haltermeyer I'm a cynical and jaded SoB but damn if this doesn't brillo pad my soul back to effervescent joyful innocence and hand me a paper bag filled with penny sweets of raw emotion. Touching, uplifting, melancholic, fun and earthing in equal measure. Thank you gents...this one hits hard Favorite track: Twos.

blackenedhalo The more I listen to it, the more I like it. While the album does not reach the heights of Eternal Hails, it is definitely better than Astral Fortress, but is it better than It Beckons Us All? Pity that every song contains some uninspiring riffs which we have already heard like a thousand times before, because there is also a lot of unique parts. But in general a very enjoyable album. But for Satan's sake, Fenriz, if you want to sing, then take some lessons, because your singing is attrocious.
    Favorite track: Siberian Thaw.

    kevinca thumbnail
kevinca I heard Sun, astray about a week ago and wept. The other two singles on this album are just as good. Preordered the album physically and digitally. No question this will be an AOTY contender in the metal community. Favorite track: Sun, astray.
    TrackSlut thumbnail
TrackSlut Instantly fell in love with Karmanjakah after hearing Eyes Seeing Eyes. I heard it less than a week ago and have listened to it countless times. The way they can harness heavy and melodic in a track is rare and much appreciated. Highly recommend going through their back catalog and watching the music videos. Everything about this band is top tier. Viggo is also very open about sharing his guitar tabs and playthrough videos. It inspired me to pick up 7 string guitar again. ❤️‍🩹 Favorite track: Eyes seeing eyes.

    Ryan Johanson thumbnail
Ryan Johanson I've spent the last several years quietly wondering to myself what a black metal/post-punk hybrid would sound like, or if such a thing would even make sense.

This is exactly the sound I was imagining, brought to life before my very ears. Favorite track: Sister Faith & Sister Chance.
    Phyl Lobius thumbnail
Phyl Lobius ULTHA waren ja schon immer etwas Besonderes. Favorite track: Love As We're Falling Down.
    behexed thumbnail
behexed Aus dem absoluten Nichts, ein neues Ultha album?! Warum nicht? ;)
Weißes Vinyl bestellt, kann es kaum erwarten. All hail Ultha! Favorite track: Her Still Singing Limbs.
