gileadean I am foremost a metalhead, this is exactly the kind of synthwave i like to listen to. Great Album! Favorite track: Witches.
    palehorse666 thumbnail
palehorse666 an aggressive and progressive synthwave banger. rock and metal influences sprinkled in for good measure, with a post-apocalyptic vibe that fits the genre well. Favorite track: Infinite Levels.
    Morrdak thumbnail
Morrdak Such a great sounding album, good for almost every mode/mood. If I need to focus on something at work, this goes on, same if I'm in the gym. Favorite track: Infinite Levels.

  2. Out of Body (2023 Remastered Edition)
    by DANCE WITH THE DEAD

    TheWanderingCathar thumbnail
TheWanderingCathar This album remaster is really good the extra guitars and sounds adds to it really well. However, if not for buying the full discography for the newer releases I was missing, I highly likely would not have gotten this album by itself.

An interesting thing to note: On the original release of this album, Only a dream has dream lowercased, unlike the remaster capitalizing it.

This remaster does improve on a lot of songs, the original is the second weakest album imo, NEAR DARK is first for me. Favorite track: Only a Dream (2023 Remastered).
    dtlentz85 thumbnail
dtlentz85 An amazing album in even better HD? What?! Favorite track: Robeast (2023 Remastered).
    Valor thumbnail
Valor picking a favorite song was so difficult, every single song is FIRE. the LAYERS. AUGH. LOVE. Favorite track: Mr. Terror (2023 Remastered).

  3. Dark Matter
    by DANCE WITH THE DEAD

    TheWanderingCathar thumbnail
TheWanderingCathar Whispers End isn't bad. Otherwise, this album is a rather huge disappointment, and I really wouldn't even call it Dance with the Dead. I'm here for the instrumentals, not singing and this was like if Dance with the Dead was hired as session guitarists/programmers. Give instrumentals of the songs and they'd do so much better. Dark Matter, NEAR DARK, and the original Out of Body are the weakest albums by you guys. Dark Matter is the worst with besides Rust, the flavour of DWTD isn't even there. Favorite track: Rust (feat. Cole Rolland).
    TheNoire thumbnail
TheNoire Impeccable riffs paired with amazing vocals. Favorite track: Neon Cross (feat. Brandon Saller).
    dtlentz85 thumbnail
dtlentz85 One of the best collab albums I've ever heard. Takes me back to a decade before I was alive. Favorite track: Whispers End (feat. Kat Von D).

DJ Engine All these tracks are fantastic. If there's any complaint, it's that they're too short. I get it, but there are plenty of artists who would jump at remixing them. I know some people...

I believe that no vtuber is complete without a memey quote remix song to use as their load-in theme, but they're supposed to be cringey! Instead ReBONE comes in and mixes a whole-ass album of bangers that go too damn hard. Just like the moth, they don't half-ass things. Favorite track: Just Kill Me.

brunotapez It was 1994 when I bought this video game, and the first thing I did with it, like many, was listen to the music... I didn't like the change. I knew it was good music, so I became familiar with its sound in my daily life. Hardcore techno it wasn't easy for my dance-pop ears, but I learned to appreciate this jewell: Atomic-exotic ryhthms in exotic melodies and arrangements that range between a lab and emotional. Sometimes it seems dissonant but it is another kind of harmony. A Craftsmanship.
    dlberes thumbnail
dlberes Wild and abrasive album—all of the Streets of Rage soundtracks are, but this one feels the most complex and interesting to me. Favorite track: Spinning Machine.
    Bloma thumbnail
    Bloma This album absolutely fucks.

brunotapez Music for fighting games or dance parties. The choice is yours. The richness of yesterday's musical culture inspired Yuzo K and Motohiro K to bring their own essence to creating new music: catchy, unforgettable melodies, pure joy. One of the best OSTs of all time.
    Carlos B Goode thumbnail
Carlos B Goode I chose one favourite track but it's competing with 12 others - solid gold soundtrack from start to end. I remember my friend's brother loved it so much he held his boombox up to the TV and recorded it to tape off the Genesis game back in the 90s. Amazing soundtrack and great to see it getting a quality release here by this label. Favorite track: Alien Power.
    sambridgett thumbnail
sambridgett The first game soundtrack I ever loved, still ridiculously good to this day even without considering the technical limitations Koshiro and Kawashima were working under. Favorite track: Good End.

    brunotapez thumbnail
brunotapez I'd say it's the first fighting game soundtrack to include dance-pop music... Music with a quality worthy of a US Billboard hit. Unforgettable music that immerses you in a fantasy that lasts an entire summer night. For some, a fight between heroes and villains; for me, a dance party. Thank you, Mr. Yuzo Koshiro.
    TheDarkYoshi64🌙 thumbnail
TheDarkYoshi64🌙 “Fighting in the Street” remains one of my all time favorite first stage themes in the entire series and in all of beat-‘em-up history. Totally gets you pumped and still, blows my mind that this is the SEGA Genesis/Megadrive. The entire OST is a masterpiece by Yuzo Koshiro. Favorite track: Fighting in the Street.
