Favorite track: Yor Zarad.

skoppum Came to hear the Mehldau/Thile collaboration, Colorbars, but went back and started from the beginning. Listened to this unfolding musical story from start to finish. Like reading good literature. Sophisticated, beautiful, concluding in a contagious groove. Favorite track: Ride into the Sun: Conclusion.

Daniel Karrer this is absolute genious.
    Mathias Lohse thumbnail
Mathias Lohse This is a fantastic mix of different styles: orchestral, rock, classical, folk. Everybody Cares, Everybody Understands strongly reminds me of the Beatles. I would love to hear more of it. Favorite track: Everybody Cares, Everybody Understands.

counselour I've been playing Elliot Smith in various forms since I heard Between the Bars years ago. I never thought Mr. Mehldau would cover him -- but I didn't know that he actually PLAYED with him. So, I'm a fool. In any case, it is great to hear a master play what I believe is some the most heartfelt music, albeit dark, I've ever heard. I'm a recovering alcoholic and this is some of the most touching music I'll ever experience.

Xanderizer MASTERPIECE. Incredible that we can still be blessed with superbly orchestrated, incredibly groovy and eternally catchy music like this in an otherwise fake, artificial and grim musical era.

I chose Burning for the drum trades and the explosive ending, but I could have chosen all of them!

Cory for president! Favorite track: Burning.
