It took me a hot minute to get into this album. It's "gentler" than We're Not Here to be Loved. That's not a bad thing, just unexpected.
But once I put aside my presumptions of what I wanted this album to be and enjoyed it for what it is, it hit hard. Everything from the etherial-yet-fierce music style to the album cover that looks like the box art to a lost piece of educational software takes me back to the early 2000s in the best way.
Throw this album onto your iPod and set it to loop!
