Sælzer Bub The Thule Grimoires is one of the greatest records ever made. Alexander von Meilenwald (Nagelfar) did an outstanding job with Ruins of Beverast. This sinister black/doom one-man-band is a class of its own. There is nothing like this. Highly recommended discography. I‘m listening to this on vinyl. I can‘t describe the atmosphere… Favorite track: Polar Hiss Hysteria.

brycesilianoff Feels like the moment you realize you just died during an explosion and you’re in the bardo crawling around in the darkness looking for an exit. Hell yeah brother Favorite track: Heaven’s Gate.

Frank Hardlic Again, a massive masterpiece. The 2024 concert experience of the core piece of this release was outstanding. Favorite track: Cambrian II: Eternal Recurrence.

Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) J'admire les groupes capables de suivre une feuille de route déterminée (et encore plus de s'y tenir) : Phanerozoic I: Palaeozoic aura droit à un successeur qui sortira dans deux ans — un délai qui paraît généreux. De l'autre côté, créer quelque chose d'aussi extraordinaire que ce premier volet en aussi peu de temps, c'est surhumain. Phanerozoic I: Palaeozoic est sombre et cataclysmique, The Ocean revient sur un post-metal oppressant sans être dénué de grâce. The Ocean offre toujours plus ! Favorite track: Silurian: Age of Sea Scorpions.

CJ Another solid album. Favorite track is all of it.

Archmage Orladin I cannot figure out which of their albums I like most...I also can't figure out if this band is underrated, or criminally underrated. Favorite track: Wounded.

Metallurgical Fire I don’t usually go for album covers like this, but it was so on the nose! Defacement’s self-titled album is one of the best in the genre. Bestia’s drumming destroys everything in its way. Essential dissonance. Favorite track: Wounded.

sickhorrorgoon Such a killer opening track, everything feels so heavy and raw, I love it Favorite track: 01 - Mournful.

dickersdone The bleakness and softness are so well balanced here. Some songs are definitely among my favorites of the year, it’s technically impressive but it doesn’t lack emotion—it’s sad and menacing, but very calming at the same time. Favorite track: 06 - Unrecognised.
