iteY2 I'm a kid of the Generation X and lived in the GDR. With each listening i get tears to my eyes. This album conveys an incredible depth of important topics of this temporal epoch. Each song tells its own story, worthy of being crowned a favorite track. But this award can only be given once. Thank you Stanislav. You saved us. Rest in peace. Favorite track: Stanislav Petrov.
    rja1978 thumbnail
rja1978 Easily one of the best synthwave albums I've heard in a long time. Did not expect the lyrical depth either. I don't typically turn to synthwave for depth, so was not expecting a very effective concept album about the Berlin Wall! Favorite track: Daniel (feat. Ollie Wride).
    Turrican4 thumbnail
Turrican4 Wow! Very emotional. Favorite track: We Were the Cold War Kids.

    Urso X thumbnail
Urso X As someone here once described it, imagine The Cure's ‘Disintegration’ channelled through a death doom aesthetic. Beautiful, brilliant stuff! Favorite track: Tide Turns Eternal.
    owlson thumbnail
owlson There's plenty of metal that mines a narrow seam sonically e.g. Portal are a favourite band, but if I listened to them daily, I'd probably go mad - though possibly that's their intention 😆. Dream Unending in comparison, have so much breadth, variation, and emotion even that I look forward to bathing in their depths on a regular basis. Favorite track: Adorned In Lies.
    Magnus Blackwood thumbnail
Magnus Blackwood Can't believe I'm getting on this 2 years late. Such a well-crafted experience, it is exactly what I've been craving out of the doomgaze subgenre. Heavy, sprawling, dark and mysterious. Heroin is less addictive. Favorite track: Dream Unending.

valhalla1240 whispered voices, howling cries, thick dark atmosphere, from dark angelic female vocals to the cries of sirens and witches. This is a feast for your soul to be exposed to. Favorite track: Sólstöður.
    Dmitry Nevozhay thumbnail
Dmitry Nevozhay Icelandic gothic post-punk/dark pop. Beautiful female vocals, and prominent bass playing. Their best album up to date Favorite track: Stormurinn.
    sunniva thumbnail

Carlos Rossy The Puerto Rican rythms blend beatifully with the great compositions and the excellent playing by the band mixing tradition with modern jazz. Just one of the best jazz recordings ever from a Puerto Rican musician.
