frankwurst while I'm not a fan of the previous album, the more melodic atmosphere of the classic cleopatrick heavy tuning is flawless. Intros are always so outstanding! Favorite track: NOW ZERO.
    nk1805 thumbnail
nk1805 Laptop rock at it's finest. I love the sound. It's truly unique in the soundscape of rockmusic. My fav on this one is the one where you reused the hook of Heatdeath. I guess it is GUTS. Edit: It is NOW ZERO. Favorite track: NOW ZERO.

    Vivian thumbnail
Vivian Finally! I've been waiting to buy this album on Bandcamp since it came out!

An incredible, interesting, and well executed pivot from their debut that deserves a lot more discussion than I've seen for it. Beautiful but melancholy, with some of my favorite hooks and lyrical moments so far in their discography.

One of my favorite albums from last year, worth the many replays and more it's getting from me. Favorite track: CHEW.
    XmassE thumbnail
XmassE blows me away how far the boys have come sonically. first heard the boys when I was 13 and I am 21 now. still got that fire, less burn down the whole house and more warm you on a cold night. hits you right in the gut. so much is different, but man the music still hits. Favorite track: HEAT DEATH.

KillTheEyes So happy that I found this band when I was a freshman in high school! A classic in my books <3 Favorite track: Disconnect.
    zarkus thumbnail
zarkus love this album, first 3 and last 3 are 10s. "new coast" as well
    stargazing robot thumbnail
stargazing robot They come right out of the gate with the first three tracks. I love this album and it headbanger qualities. Changing Lanes is a nice stripped down song in the center of the tracklist and slows it all down before the record gradually picks up speed again.
The closing song is one of their best ballads/songs. The cello and tone sends me straight back to the 90's.
Staying on par with the previous record was a tough act to follow and they managed it flawlessly in my opinion.

    by Fu Manchu
    featured track 00:00/00:00
Invaders On My Back Invaders On My Back
    supported by
    buzzguff thumbnail
buzzguff This album was my gateway to all the more hardcore/grunge influenced ones after 2002. It is also quite hardcore influenced and has a slungy feel to it, but now more often broken up by spacey parts + oldschool Fu vibe. The sound is massive as hell and fuzzy but not in a way that the guitar sounds too muffled and drowns everything else in morass. Great album, also give it a try if you still haven't warmed up to the 'new' stuff. Great the cover and entire booklet are included, nice fanservice

Favorite track: Invaders On My Back.
    David Yvinec thumbnail
David Yvinec Favorite track: The Last Question

Watch for the Invaders On Your Back! Fu Manchu offers with this album another well executed stoner rock record with some tasty guitar work, and with some punk rock and psychedelic rock vibes added to the mix. While the band might not be breaking new grounds on that album, they demonstrate - if needed - that they still have the energy and the knack to rock hard, and to send you on some dimension shifting of their own. Two words: Anxiety Reducer...
    Shane Felorgy thumbnail
Shane Felorgy Exactly what Kevin said. Also I would pick Triplanetary as my favourite if it would let me. Favorite track: Anxiety Reducer.
