Summer Angine de Poitrine, brings new fun and life into prog rock in both presentation and sound. I think if you like Cassiopeia you'll like them. Alternatively if you're transgender you will probably like them as well. Favorite track: Ababa Hotel.
    sassychicken17 thumbnail
sassychicken17 This album breaks my brain in the best of ways. From the innovative microtonal sounds to the time signature shifts, my mind and body are fully engaged with every track. Bandcamp has the audacity to force me to choose exactly one favorite song, but they are all great tracks! Favorite track: Ababa Hotel.

Ghuughra Post-math-rock for an illiterate future. Favorite track: Magic Hour.
    Erkadur thumbnail
Erkadur Via Luna's second release in this 4-part concept album series is once again incredible! If you like math-rock, pick these albums up! :D

Via Luna's unique blend of math-rock and post-rock is one to experience.

This is full of mathy, bouncy, colorful, intricate, and independent guitar riffs as well as reflective, healing, and soothing post-rock ambience. It's done very well! <3

Heavy Light is more "mathy" than post but still has nice introspective moments.

A must have for math-rock lovers! :D Favorite track: Reach for the Sky.
    Michael Wildman thumbnail
Michael Wildman Truly the best Math Rock that exists. Lines and voices that line up and wander off determinedly and close back together again. Never has such as closeness and distance been found in instrument. These guys nailed it. Favorite track: Magic Hour.

  4. Calm and Clear
    by Via Luna

    Erkadur thumbnail
Erkadur Via Luna has done it again! This album features more epically "fused" math-rock & post-rock with excellent storytelling. :)

This is more "mathy" than post but still has "still" moments present. This allows the album to breathe in the midst of all the energetic, rhythmic, and bouncy math-rock grooves.

Stellar production in terms of the imaging/soundstaging. Thanks! :D

Because of this, their compositional storytelling shines and you really feel "the adventure/journey." <3

Great stuff! :D Favorite track: RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE!.
    Anton Juntunen thumbnail

    scott w thumbnail
scott w One of the catchiest albums I have ever heard. I happened upon a very brief clip of it while listening to the radio, and spent a while tracking it down. Well worth it. Favorite track: Pretend.
