sentient meat "Ghosts are just old houses dreaming people in the night. Have no doubt about it, hon, the dead will do alright. Go contemplate the evidence and guarantee you'll find. The dead know what they're doing when they leave this world behind." Favorite track: Nights That Won’t Happen.
    calvin011101 thumbnail
calvin011101 This song is so so very gorgeous and sad and perfect and so is the entire album Favorite track: Nights That Won’t Happen.
    Cardian Matsu thumbnail
Cardian Matsu Endlessly rewarding to listen to, Berman was always a little jaded beneath the witticisms under the umbrella of his work frontmanning Silver Jews and it ends up taking the forefront here rather than adding some personal flavor to his amazing sense of humor.

This switch in the major/minor ingredient really makes for a special album, with a touch of snark here and there that makes it clear that as much as he was going through, there was always a perfect comeback or a smart remark he had in mind. Favorite track: She’s Making Friends, I’m Turning Stranger.

2dbro molina evokes a desolate atmosphere, bleak and bare but with strong undertones of hope and strength. Favorite track: Blue Chicago Moon.
    Nostro thumbnail
Nostro Oh - we actually can't select our fav track, unless it's one of the 4 tracks available to freely listen. So, here we go:
Cross the Road, Molina (Demo, Working Title: Chicago City Moon)

Am here for the demo tracks, if you've got everything Molina, these are worthy additions.

Favorite track: Two Blue Lights (Demo).
    Reuben Goddard thumbnail
Reuben Goddard I've been somewhat numb recently. I've been trying to hide away often. I can't see or even comprehend what's quite wrong. I've done many mean things in my life, I feel weighted by guilt and regret. Something about 'didn't it rain' has really spoken to me. it might be that I'm in a transitional phase in my life. But that emptiness that comes with these transitions is harsh and nunbing. Every eord spoken on this album a lonely cry for solice and acceptance. Moving through spaces of loneliness. Favorite track: Blue Chicago Moon.

    Nickie Harte Kelly thumbnail
Nickie Harte Kelly Inspired by a 1952 Folkways compilation, guitarist Marisa Anderson has reimagined folk tunes from areas with which the US has been in conflict in the modern era. Besides electric, acoustic, and pedal steel guitars, you will hear accordion, violin, viola, and various keyboards. From Afghanistan to Vietnam, this is a thoughtful trip into the international language of music. Favorite track: Sarvi Simin.
    kitsuune 🦊💫 thumbnail

pepp14 Wow this 1981 Classic has so much energy it's like Buddy Guy went crazy on this album. I call this the crazy blues album you can feel Buddy Guys energy on this album especially on You've been gone too long. This album is a Stone Cold Classic its a must have. Buddy Guy just tearing up the blues as usual. Thank you Alligator Records for putting this Classic out on Bandcamp. Buddy Guy just goes wild with his guitar playing on this album wow I'm blown away. Very special album to me. Favorite track: You've Been Gone Too Long.
    3cd thumbnail
3cd The Starfire IV era. Rowdy. Commanding. Confident. When I think of Buddy, I think of this recording. So strong, loose, and wailing. Recorded on Halloween 1979 in France. Scary. And so real. A finest moment. Favorite track: You've Been Gone Too Long.

Ben Van Bonn Translucent evangelical voices wobble in and out of the grooves selling tickets to the rapture for $19.99. A red heifer was born with two tails. SouvlakiCiccone thumbnail
SouvlakiCiccone I dig the combination of happy and sad songs, quiet and loud, and the lo-fi bits makes the album feel more personal. My favourite would have to be the psychedelic freakout on Sunlight. Awesome. Favorite track: Sunlight.
