Em I truly believe this album deserves to go down in history as one of the most important psych rock and arguably shoegaze albums of all time. Warren is such an underrated genius and I can't help but return to this album very often just to glaze the everliving shit out of it. Everything about it is amazing. Favorite track: Cornfield (2024 Remaster).

    Phyl Lobius thumbnail
Phyl Lobius One of the most mysterious and obscure albums in the neofolk cosmos - ritualistic ambient with both feet in post-industrial waters, crowned with David Tibet’s mysterious spoken-word chanting. Contains one of the greatest neofolk tracks ever, “The Ballad of the Pale Christ”. The ending track is a hypnotic 18-minute loop consisting of some kind of gamelan bagpipes, almost with time-shifting abilities. Favorite track: The Ballad Of the Pale Christ.
    Lord Venom thumbnail
Lord Venom I am still haunted by Forever Changing, in which Tibet conveys the terrifying magnificence of Abbess Hildegard's vision of Caritas, accompanied by a simple, looping refrain. You can bury me with it. Favorite track: Forever Changing.

Joshua Runyon My favorite period of C93. Lovely. Favorite track: Maldoror Er Daudur.
    VUKARI thumbnail
VUKARI Menacing in all the most intriguing ways. Dawn is another passage or portal Current 93 manifest through their music. Brilliant use of space, time and mass through sound. Favorite track: Great Black Time.
    darragh guilfoyle thumbnail
darragh guilfoyle The soundtrack to my late teen angst phase. I couldn't believe people were actually making music like this. I listened to Great Black Time on repeat. Still the most intense C93 track IMO. Favorite track: Great Black Time.

.♍️. Growing up in Detroit, I lived on East Lafayette Street and attended Chrysler Elementary. I was also a regular at Hudson’s—a place so incredible that words truly can’t do it justice, especially when you're a little kid. Favorite track: Volcanic Ash.
