trollfi3nd One of the most profound experiences I've had with music in recent memory. Unbelievably meditative and introspective, the straight tsunami of distortion cleanses the crushing weight of modern life. The trilogy of Life Metal, Pyroclasts, and Metta, Benelvolence may be my favourite walls of sonic incantations that Sunn O))) have conjured to this day.

Urso X “I am disgusted by machines that pretend to be people.”

Ambient doom/drone isn’t exactly my go-to fare (unless you consider Dead Can Dance in that category), but I do partake enough to know quality when I hear it, and this grabbed me immediately.

I also appreciate concept albums when the concept is relevant, and the warnings contained herein couldn’t be more timely. Favorite track: Thrown to The Earth.

    jazzberto thumbnail
jazzberto This is a beautiful album.
More reflective than earlier full on space jams and all the better for it. More depth & intrigue in this new album but still full on trippy psyche.
    Well done folks.
Looking forward to seeing you live with Helicon.

    FDJ (Desert Psychlist) thumbnail
FDJ (Desert Psychlist) Occult/doom metal that nods it's horned head towards now defunct Dutch band The Devil's Blood. Loved TDB and these guys more than fill the gap they left. Superb!!!!! Favorite track: Destroyer.
    Fastnbulbous thumbnail
Fastnbulbous Portland heavy psych prog band finally made this available for download, their first release since the 2012 split single with Ice Dragon. With bits of proto-metal and stoner doom, this is the sh*t. Also check out Wulfram. They should also have a full length coming at some point. Favorite track: Gyromancer.
